I really like it. I didn't care much for the 3D effects, now everything is more streamlined.

What are your thoughts?

I've really been looking forward to the ESPN feature. But, I think the dashboard looks a bit too plain for my taste.

wish they kept the 3-dish sliding. second wish they ride of that silver bottom for the love of godk2theswiss

If they got rid of the silver/bottom I'd be real excited... but I'd rather have the blades back if anything.

There is one thing I want above all, faster Xbox Menu screens. I hate how long it takes to bring up the dashboard, open a message, accept the Party Chat invite, enter the party, leave the Xbox Menu and find that you've already been killed and have already respawned again.

I didn't get anything yesterday and I just finished the download. I think it just had to do with my placement on the white list. I doubt everyone got the update at the same time.

I love it! browsing the menu is awesome now, everything is presented so well so sleek and well finished

but I dont like the omission of the Perspective view on the menu's, the 2D menu looks flat and boring

I have the beta, I hate the dashboard because of how plain it is. Also there's the fact you cannot talk to people over your mic. (Yes I know I agreed to it) The Zune Market is definitely better especially with previews and how you buy and rent. I do like the ESPN thing and there are a few other improvements I like. All in all though I'd rather have waited for the finished product rather than get stuck with this for over a month. Oh well, it is nice to enjoy what they gave me though.

It ends when the update goes public. You signed up for the beta and were told what you had to give up. So far there is no way to opt out of the beta.

When does the update go public? And can i talk to my friends in game chat?

I'm not sure, but I probably won't hate it.

I miss party chat... can't wait til the official update comes out because I have to text everyone... lol

I'm not in the beta, but I've watched videos of it.

And I HATE it. The look is so cheap, I honestly can't see why you guys like it.

The current one is fantastic. The new one looks cheap, and tacky.

Is it me or is all they have done was taken the 3d effect away I dont understand why removing that makes it cleaner or easier to use.

What does bother me with the existing set-up is when I turn my xbox on it goes to the spotlight blade ( which is not the problem ) its when I then go into game vidoes or search for demos sometimes there could 3 or 4 new pieces of content yet there is no mention of this on the spotlight blade so if i did not spend the time flicking through everything I would not know that there was a demo for a game I would like to play. New content should be advertised and not put in some weird sub directories. Its not the end of the world I know it just does not feel that well maintaned or its full potential realised.

I like it but part of me wish i could revert back to the other dashboard for the time being, but oh well.
