I am now getting an xbox 360 elite but the thing im sruggling to undersatnd is what is needed to get NXE. I nknow you need a gold membership but what is netfix? Hope someone could help me by clearing this up.

You don't need netflix, you just need to be connected to live, and it will download for you. You don't have to purchase or become a member of anything. I don't even think you need a gold account to get it.

thanks mate! I just read things about net fix that is all! I have also heard that NXE is bvricking alot of consoles, is that true? Also what are the chances of getting RROD on xbox elite now?

im guessing theyr pretty slim...well....slimmer. my xbox (20g pro) was bought last november and i just got rrod...bummer. i believe the newer ones have a newer motherboard (the 'jasper' i think), which are less likely to get rrod.

The NXE can't brick your console because it is a software update, the RROD is caused by hardware issues.

Chances of getting RROD on the Elite now is very slim, could still happen though. If you get one of the newer Elites with the Jasper chipset then that narrows the chance of getting RROD even more.
