I know that this topic has been done to death, but I think we as a collective group are trying to find a solution to a very real problem with our gaming investment. I also think that there are products out there that some guys would like to buy in order to protect their investment, but are scared away by stories that may be factual or fiction.

So, I would like to ask actual owners of the Intercooler EX "ONLY".

How has your experience with the intercooler been?

How long have you had it and how long (on average) is your 360 on with this device?

Do you regret buying/using it?

Do you notice if it is indeed draining (or upsetting the flow of) the electrical current of the power supply?

Has it helped your 360 in preventing the RRD?

Does it matter that MS says that use of this device will void your warranty?

Does your 360 fail no matter what you've done?

Seriously, I am asking for truthful accounts. Not it sucks or sell it on ebay or I heard or read about or a friend of a friend said it will blow up your dog. This has already been posted too many times. If your intent is to bash without concrete evidence to support you claim, please skip this post.

My experience has been very well with the cooler

I have had it for 3 months.....My 360 is on for an average time period of 3-5 hours

NO i DO NOT regret buying the Device or using it

I did not notice it draining the power supply

I believe it has helped me prevent RRoD

No it does not matter that MS says, becuase frankly I don't think they said that....what is truthful was if you used the original Nyko and it melted INTO your console, then yes it voided your warranty....they never said you couldn't use one though

My 360 has not yet failed with the device running

I love the Nyko Intercooler. Got one after my first Xbox overheated and died. I got one for my refurbished unit after that and it works miracles. After playing for about.. 4 hours, the Xbox 360 is only slightly warm. Had that Xbox for about..3 months ... Had an accident with the that unit and ended up getting a new Xbox. Bought a new Nyko Intercooler for that one and I've had it since the October 30th. Still working :P

I've noticed a little bit of lag issues when I played Oblivion, but that's the only thing I've seen the cooler affecting with the games.

The only cons I see in using the cooler are that it's very loud and a difficult to install or remove from the box.

I definitely don't regret buying it.. and it's only 20 bucks. I suggest every Xbox owner get one!

So, I would like to ask actual owners of the Intercooler EX "ONLY".

How has your experience with the intercooler been?

The intercooler ex indeed works miracles. I was able to play in peace with no lockups.(game freezes)

How long have you had it and how long (on average) is your 360 on with this device?

I had it on for a month, playing 4-5 hours or until I had enough of playing with no problems!

Do you regret buying/using it?

no I do not regret buying or using it.

Do you notice if it is indeed draining (or upsetting the flow of) the electrical current of the power supply?

yes after I got high I started to notice that the 360 sounded bad, it sounded tired. Sounded like me. I wasn't able to notice it sober.

Has it helped your 360 in preventing the RRD?

My old 360 never gave me the rrod which I bought back in feb 2006. I called it the survivor even though at the end of it's life I had the intercooler ex running on it until me and my bro got in a fight and he broke my 360. Anyways having the intercooler ex on your console will make it sound loud and bad but the way it sounds like doesn't matter when your able to play your games with no problems with the intercooler ex.

Does it matter that MS says that use of this device will void your warranty?

If your warranty is already expired. Buy the Intercooler ex from Nyko. If your warranty isn't expired and you haven't experienced any problems with your 360 like no games freezing on you or anything do not buy this product. Only buy it if your console is getting too warm and games locking up on you at the same time. Which means your console is overheating. Also make sure you have someone that knows how to put the intercooler ex on correctly. Having it put on and not flushed pefectly with the vent holes can cause problems or the intercooler ex not to do it's job correctly.

Does your 360 fail no matter what you've done?

The 360 is a beast and it shall destroy all. The new one I have looks really reliable. manufactured date 9-17-07. It stays cool and I haven't experienced any game freezing issues with it so far. Looks like ms is building better 360's now.
