I already have Halo 3, and only have enough money for one more game, I am a very big shooter fan and love playing onlne with friends. So which should I get the Orange Box(never played Half-Life) Bioshock, or CoD4.
IMO Orange box looks the funnest of them. Everyone says alot of good things about Half-Life so Im defenatly interested in it. I too have never played half-Life and I would pick Orange box just to have what seems like all of them I think. Good way to get caught up, and sleepless nights ;-)
If I had only enough money to buy one game out of those 3 it would be Call of Duty 4. Basically for the fact that I played the beta for it on the 360 and loved it! Bioshock is a single player game. Even though it is an amazing game it still has it's downsides that it is not online. Orange box is fun if you want to get a lot of 5 gamer point achievements.
If you want a good Multi-player go for Call of Duty 4.
If you want a good single player game go for Bioshock.
If you are a big shooter fan that loves to play online, no Bioshock since there is no online. If you can only afford one game, get the one that has 5 in 1, Orange Box. I haven't bought it because I don't think I would ever have time to finish everything that comes on the disc. I am definetly going with COD4 when it comes out. The Beta was awesome.
well bioshock is allright its aroundabout 8 hours worth of story. Its a fairly ridgid shooter the plasmids are basically having a grenade to throw if you need it i didnt use mine until about half way through the game. Im enjoying half-life 2 at the moment 9 hrs playtime so far on easy i still have the two other epsiodes to go and even on easy im still finding it difficult in places, there are puzzles to work out while going throught the story that can stump you for a while then you will work out what to do and you can carry on your merry way (bioshock does not really have any puzzling parts)
I was in the cod4 beta and it plays really well, the singleplayer storyin the trailers looks awesome.Multiplayer was set out with ranks like vegas and the more ranks you go up the more stuff you unlock for your character, which will add to playability and lastability.
i beat bioshock, played the COD 4 beta, and have the orange box....i'd say get orange box because you'll get many many many hours of fun, and if you want to play online theres TF 2. then again COD 4 will be really good and i'll definitely be getting it sometime in the future (i mean i've beaten every COD game to date) but before that I need to finish the orange box, and get assassin's creed and kane & lynch.
I don't know man... its tight, I have a feeling COD4 is gonna blitzkrieg the competition. That being said i would think COD4 ism ore of a "shooter"...where bioshock has rpg elements, and exploration...it almost plays like an adventure game. Orange box (half life) plays more like a shooter, but its also rooted in deep story telling/puzzle elements.
If mulitplayer is your thing you should wait for COD4...i THINK. Although Orange box does offer great multiplayer.
Get CoD 4. Bioshock only singleplayer (Its a great game!) and Orange Box's Team Fortress might not be enough for your mulitplayer needs (Its still looks like a great collection!).
BioShock and Half-Life 2 are two of my favorite games of all time, with two of the best stories. BioShock is a great single player story-driven game, as is HL2 (and I'm talking about both episodes too). The Orange Box also has Portal, another one of my favorites (especially the credits song!!). But then comes your multiplayer in Team Fortress 2, which is sheer chaos. Lots of fun. Many people regard The Orange Box as "the greatest video game deal ever" and I agree. I haven't played COD4, but it looks spectacular. BioShock and Orange Box are already out and have been confirmed as great, so I guess if I HAD to choose I'd pick The Orange Box, since it is most worth the money (the deciding factor in your case). Not that I doubt COD4, it's just not out yet. Otherwise, at one point or another, would you kindly do yourself a favor? GET THEM ALL.
Unfortunately, Halo 3 is the worst one of the four you mentioned. Maybe you could trade it in and get some good games. Orange Box and Bioshock are way better than Halo 3, which is just like Halo 2, which is just like Halo, well you get the idea. Call of Duty 4 is supposed to have much better MP and single player. I refuse to buy Halo 3, just because everyone else did. I returned the copy I borrowed.
If you like fps adventure games then it has to be the orange box without a doubt for me. Even though bioshock is an amazing game, half life 2 is just epic plus its a lot longer and a lot more varied than bioshock (inc the 2episodes too). I didnt play the cod4 beta so cant comment on that although ill definitely be buying it
Orange Box, it just has so much great content, and it has something for everyone. The HL games are awesome, portal is innovative and great, and TF 2 is a classic team mp game.
