It wouldn't be called Oblivion 2 though, it'd be called The Elder Scrolls V, seeing as Oblivion is The Elder Scrolls IV and Morrowind is The Elder Scrolls III...etc.
the next Elder Scolls game will probably not atrive until the next generation kicks off, or at the very end of this one at the earliest

Honestly. Where's this 2009-10 stuff coming from? Takes Bethesda usually upwards of 6 years to make a new TES game. That's with them starting development as soon as the last one is completed. They're not even starting development for the next one until Fallout 3 is done. So we won't see it for a loooooong time. Keep playing Oblivion, or better yet, Morrowind.
