They just said not to expect it soon, unless I misread it, which is a good possiblility.
I doubt they'll make a direct sequel to Oblivion. More than likely they'll make an Elder Scrolls 5 and have it set in one of the many unexplored areas in the Elder Scrolls world.

Bethesda making another elder scrolls is a LONG way off, they are currently still working on the fallout series and other projects and they even said not to expect one any time soon
There was TES3 Morrowind in 2002, TES4 Oblivion in 2007. Both received expansions for a couple of years, and then only patches after that. Bethesda have said they have no current plans for TES5, though have previously bought the rights for sites with Skyrim in them suggesting that will be the setting for the next TES game. It will take them a couple of years to make a new game when they decide to do so, so 2012 seems like a reasonable sort of time to expect a new TES game. In the mean time they have other games to be working on, not least the Fallout franchise. Mothership Zeta was the fifth and final DLC for that, there is a GOTY edition coming out, and then New Vegas in the pipeline as the next Fallout (though I think that is primarily being made by another company, so Bethesda could be working on the next-next Fallout, so to speak! )
Oblivion 2 :lol: Sorry TC, but I find that utterly hilarious. The "Elder Scrolls IV" part of the title "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" is there for a reason. Anyway, supposedly, Bethesda will have The Elder Scrolls V out by the end of next year... which doesn't sound too far fetched, seeing as how Fallout 4 will not come until 2011 (earliest); I also believe that this has been officially announced.
at first the idea was they were gonna release another one on the xbox360. but with the economy and how its effecting gaming i think this one is gonna be a few years in the making. im gonna wait patiently though, cause whatever they decide im sure its gonna just blow my mind. ill back bethesda anyday, they are good game makers.

Thats because most of the time they are talking about those two games. Use some common sense those 2 are more recent and more popular. I can imagine you wanna be cool by referring to the older games but no..it doesn't work.

Well they practically left it as a cliff hanger with the game and DLCs. There is no heir, I assume there would be a group of people (Council) or another Monarchy. But since there isn't any royal blood left technically that leaves it up for grabs. I assume if they did make another (Which they most likely won't) that only people of fame or infamy could go for it.
You know what would suck. If it came out on the apparent "apocalypse" :l there's just no point to putting it on sale then :l suck big time :l chickendoodles1

I've loved all of the *ELDER SCROLLS* (not I didn't say Oblivion?) and I hope they get around to making a fifth one..... I think if it was in Alteymr (correct me?) Or Skyrim it would be pretty cool
