Not really. But I started that Quest at Lvl 19ish.
There is a ridiculous amount of monsters so I just had to be tactical, but once I figured out the basic layout of most gates, I run through the whole thing and I can normally do one gate within 15-20 mins.Â
If I remember correctly, the chain of quests for the main story line can become almost impossible if you wait too long to start it on normal difficulty.

But lowering it just a tik never hurt anyone.Â
I have 100+ hours on Oblivion. But when i was like at 50 hrs, they killed me easily in the Oblivion Gates. So what i did was this: i went into caves and such and i started upgrading until i got almost everything un to 100(max). Then i followed the story line and the gates are now easy. I have never changed the difficulty setting. Oh, to easily upgrade blunt and swords, i went to this place (cant remember exactly) where you hit people that
are "sleeping" and so you keep hitting them and u dont kill them.. so that worked pretty cool. I upgraded every like 2 minutes.Â
yeh i didnt power lvl or whatever and get plus 5's i ussually get plus 2 or 3's tho...that kind of lvling seems too complicated, i just wanted to enjoy the game uno?? anyway skiramdoo, u know alot about this game huh??? Akujibaba
Yes, Dark Brotherhood's quest #2, it's called "A Watery Grave"... you'll meet lots of sailors there.Â
I guess you didn't already know this, but if you wait for any amount of time then your health and fatique are completely restored. So you could just take out a couple of monsters and maybe have to run away from the rest of them and wait for an hour. Then go back and kill the rest of them and wait again. Repeat until success.
