Oblivion! By far. Fallout's big but Oblivion has a bigger map, a longer story, A LOT more side quests. There is about 150+ side missions in Oblivion but Fallout only has about 30-ish

I don't know which is larger, but Oblivion has a lot of Dungeons to explore. From the looks of the maps, Fallout 3 is a larger game world.

oblivion crushes fallout 3 in terms of exploration and things to do.

Oblivion. Hands down. No contest.

Also Oblivion's map has a nice variety of climates and landscapes, while Fallout is pretty much just the same old barren wasteland throughout.

Oblivion. it's a bigger game overall in terms of quests, items, and even the size of the game world itself.

I feel happy and sorry for you altogether. Sorry because you've never played them and happy because you finally will =) Seriously, you'll have a blast. These games are so amazing it's not even funny.

Oblivion is muuuch larger than fallout and thats even without countin' Shivering Isles ( whichis a lot bigger than any Fallout 3 dlc)

It has more things to do, more secret stuff etc... Its a bigger game no doubt about it, but both games are well worth the time they suck of your life 'cause both of them are great!

i'd say oblivion, mostly cuz i hate the fact that in fallout you need to go through metro systems to get to alot of places, which are to confusing for me lol

Obilivion not only has a bigger overworld, but it is much more fun to explore. Green and Lush Cyrodill> Capital Wasteland However, i think Fallout 3 is the better game

Both of them have huge maps, and both are awesome games. I'm pretty sure that Oblivion is larger though. But I'm not sure if will remain the larger of the two if you add up the 2 DLC's that Fallout 3 has and the new one thats coming out that makes the wasteland larger with new places to explore. But then again, Oblivon does have Shivering Isles. I guess Oblivion has more exploration then.

Oblivion, it has a whole lot of armor, spells, and weapons to collect.
Fallout 3 is fair in size, but you can find the best armor in the game and not even know you have it, where as oblivions is not so easy to get .

great games, but Oblivion is the real winner.

While Oblivion's world is larger, I find it bland and repetitive. I like exploring the D.C. Wasteland a lot more than Cyrodiil. The dungeons were unique, the wasteland was varied, and the weapons, armour, and enemies actually look different from each other.

haven't played fallout yet but i am sure it's not beating oblivion. over 300 quest in goty. and shiver islands and the knight one is like a game by it self. with 50 oblivion gates over 50 caves, oblivion, shiver island and knight one has a main story. then all the side quest usually has 2-8 quest long stories. then each guild has about 10 quest.... yaaa that game is pretty long

Easily Oblivion. As great as Fallout 3 is, Oblivion has much more variety in its sidemissions and even has a load of dungeons which aren't even connected with missions and none of them are half-assed. It's all constructed withgreat care and attention.

Fallout is probably larger in scale butin Oblivion you're you're never short of things to do.

Oblivion is 16 square miles in size and Fallout 3 is 10-13 square miles. I absolutely love Fallout 3 but exploring the world of Oblivion was much more fun.. there were alot more secret hidden things and cool quests with great rewards you come across in Oblivion. Fallout 3 is a must play but not before Oblivion.

you find oblivion bland and repetitive compared to fallout? sorry its the other way around fallout is the bland one hands down as for repetitive i think its a tie on that score
