oblivion GOTY or oblivion collector's edition

Which should I purchase, I liked all the little extras that came with the CE version but do the same things come with GOTY version?

really need to know cuz I want this game bad

which should I get? and can u download the extras still off XBL?

The GOTY edition includes a hell of a lot more content, it has the full expansion and the Knights of the nine faction (which is my favorite faction) as well as some more plug-ins.

I don't know if anyone can give you the answer to that though. You know what the CE edition comes with and you know you'll have to buy the expansion and such if you want the full content. If it was me I'd get the GOTY edition because the CE book wasn't even as good as most books included in game.

GOTY is the better version because it includes the Knights of the Nine expansion, as well as the Shivering Isles expansion. The only thing for you to know about the GOTY edition is that it does NOT come with the smaller downloads, such as the Vile Lair, Wizards Tower, the Orrey and more.

Also, it comes on two disks. You have one disk which is the original Oblivion game, and a second disk that includes the expansions. You'll have to download the expansions off of the disk onto your hard drive before you can access them.

Well, they are really different. As the collectors edition is just the normal game, but with lotsa extra stuff, like books and dvd's, while goty is just the normal game with the expansion pack.

If you really want the stash that comes with collectors edition, then you should buy collectors edition and the expansion pack separatly.
