Damn straight oblivion is AMAZING

Just play a FPS for hours on end like I did.

And when you get sick of that play a RTS for hours on end, as I did aswell.

Then finally when you get sick of an RTS, play Oblivion. Like a breathe of fresh air.

HAHA..awesome. i agree with the TC. i thought it was a yawner, and i DO like RPGs.

nah ive got oblivion and im finding it hard to get into. i started playing and it took me about about 2 days to get through the part in the prison because i got bored so easily, i only played it for a few minutes and got bored so i played something else

I found Oblivion boring as well.

Oblivion's kinda what you make of it. And I must say, describing Two Worlds as better than Oblivion is border line offensive.

This statement however, is offensive. Let me guess: "True gaming" means playing the games you like?

I'd have to say that if you think Oblivion is boring, there is something wrong with you. I have been playing that game since I got my 360(1 year ago) and I still play it all the time. As a matter of fact, I have played for at least 6 hours today. But, if you do think its boring, go back to your FPS's and have fun, because your missing out on one of the best RPGs ever made!

Well maybe it isn't your kind of game, even people who like RPG's don't like all RPG sub-genre's. The RPG genre is so diverse and complex that you can't really say "I like RPG's" so much as you can say you like particular sub-genre's of RPG's.

BUT just like Fallout 3 this game takes patience and a good 10-20 hours to really get into (in the fact first 5 are horribly boring). If you are the kind of person that just likes to go around killing things for no purpose then Oblivion is definitely NOT for you. I think that you simply don't appreciate the things that Elder Scrolls has to offer. If you still don't like the game after a good 15-20 hours playing it then get rid of it. One word of advice is to NOT do the main storyline off the bat, I logged over 100 hours of gameplay before I even touched the main storyline.

That being said, Two Worlds better then Oblivion? Two Worlds is Eastern Europe's Oblivion. I found it ugly to look at (grey, brown green through the whole game), buggy, and lacking any depth as far as story. Plus the voice acting was funny at first but really drove me insane after a few hours. But if that game did something for you go for it, there is a sequel coming out. I do have to agree with others that liking Two Worlds more then Oblivion is something I have literally NEVER heard before.

The first two letters of RPG means Role-Play: learn how to do that, because Oblivion is open-ended, not linear.:)

That's one of the best parts of this game: you can totally ignore the Main Quest, and go off and do what you want. If you want to be a simple alchemist that collects plants, brews potions, then sells them to merchants.....you can do that. That's Role-Playing.

I bought Oblivion close to its release back in 2006 and I am not bored with it. A supporting website is named the UESP Oblivion Wiki, and it has a special webpage for those who are "bored". Link:P

Oblivion is an amazing game in my opinion. If RPG's aren't your sort of game though, I can't see it converting you. Shame though as I think the sheer vastness and detail of the world is brilliant.

Yeah, TC, I don't care much for Oblivion either. I guess I'm a military man through and through... I want guns that fire bullets... Not swords and axes. lolz.

Oblivion has some good parts and is still one of the greater RPGs on the 360. The quests are well written and fun.

However, after having clocked 200+ hours in playing it, I now too find it kind of boring.

Very little variety in enemies, locations (this is the worst, all dungeons look the same!), and weapons/armour. Once you got a full suit of the Glass/Ember(with Shivering Isles) armour orDaedric/Madness if you play heavy, that's it! Same goes for the weaponry. All the same voices for all character get pretty annoying too.

Oblivion is one of the best games this gen. Two Worlds made me want to cry.
