Oblivion lovers call fallout repetitive?

then what the hell is oblivion? ive done some of the main quest, and all of the fighters + theives guild, and its all the same crap... ive heard people say "oh fallout is all the same thing you find someone that wants you to fetch something for them..

well so is oblivion.. fallout 3 was much more exciting and better than oblivion IMO

I've not heard Oblivion lovers(of which I am one) call FO3 repetitive. And if some were, shouldn't you be replying directly to them instead of starting a thread to complain about it?

I'm playing through Oblivion right now for my first time after already beating Fallout 3 and I have to say Fallout is much more interesting. Oblivion is just not as exciting. The main quest is awful and some of the guilds get repetitive. Fallout was a lot more interesting IMO.

if it took you 45 hours then you didnt do all there is to be done in the game.. it took me a good 130 hours to beat the game with all the side quests

I like midieval times a lot more than a post apoctalyptical setting. So Oblivion floats my fancy more. Sci-Fi will always be supreme ruler though.MassApocalypse

I guess it's all a matter of personal preference. I, personally like...

1. Post-apocalyptic
2. Modern
3. WWII
4. Sci-Fi
5. Medieval
6. Future
7. Alternate History

I love Oblivion and I've not once seen anyone call Fallout 3 repetitive. Fallout 3 is a great game that's worth playing, but I would say Oblivion is the better game. Oblivion is longer and you get more bang for your buck. It took me 150 hours to complete the main quest, all the guilds including some side quests in Oblivion. Fallout 3 took me 50 hours to complete the side quests and the main quest also Fallout 3 had 20+ quests and Oblivion had 100+ quests. I ownboth of thembut I would say Oblivion is much better than Fallout 3.

I'm bothering to post in here because I thinkyou're just having an unjustified whine. I've been around here, I've been around the Oblivion boards and I cant remember anyone calling FO3 repetitive. I'm sure someone has, or else you wouldn't have started this thread, but it seems to be a non-issue. Starting a thread to complain about a small handful of people's opinion is just plain asinine, if you ask me.

So again, if you've got a problem with someone who has said that FO3 is repetitive, then reply directly to them. There's no need to start a thread about it. It just seems like you're talking to an invisible group of people here.

i read people saying that on this forum in this section and that was before i even started oblivion. now that im 37 hours into it i look back and remember them saying that so i made this thread. im not whining or complaining, im just saying theres no reason to call fallout repetitive when oblivion is the same thing if not MORE repetitive.. i enjoy both games very much.

That's funny, when I browse these threads all I see are people who love Fallout 3, and think that Oblivion is repetitive.

agh..i hated fallout 3..i couldn't get into it. plus, there's absolutely no color to it. very grey. very dullMaddenBowler10

It's better than the copy and pasted landscape of Oblivion. The same mountains and valley copied 100000 times. And the same town 7 times with a somewhat unique 8th city.

they are both amazing game just like both the same ,or don't like them at all

Similar in certain ways, Yes but thats expected when theyre both made by the same company.

I personally prefer Oblivion but Fallout 3 is still a great game

Thank you! Some one who understands!!! And I've played Oblivion for as long as physically possible, about 20 long, boring hours. I've spent a lot of time in each city. They look identical.

Every game is repetitive. Think about it....

Both are but Fallout is more, In Fallout there is no reward, nothing cool to find, a main quest that is appaulingly lame, and sidequest that have little purpose but to get ur experience up.

I've never heard that. I've only heard people say Oblivion sucks. Fallout 3 isn't special.
