oblivion is only good if you can actualy play it rather than going on rampages etc. They should never have put the fast travel in, I played it without about half way through and the ammount of quests, caves, items etc. I found between missions was increadible. Anyway, gears of war is just halo all over again.

But halos awesome, an GOW online never seems to get boring and theres new stuff you can download on it but Oblivion only has Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine which cost.WackoJacko29

Your one of those dudes that didn't like Gears....I mean, if your telling me that all you got out of Gears was 8 hours, then I guess you didn't play multiplayer. Thats where the fun is. In fact, I'm going to play if right now. I'm not in the mood to ride a horse and run from the dude that chases people when you steal something. Gears won more awards than Oblivion, so it gets the nod. Its a good damn game. In fact, its the best...and the trophies prove it.

lol, I never said gears was bad- it just doesn't have lasting appeal - and I don't think awards make a game good lol :P The multiplayer on gears was rubbish after about an hour, i'd rather go back and play quake 3 death match lol.

No problem. Ah, thought I did lol, nevermind. Just to clear this up, people think I dislike gears - that's not true. It was just far too short and way too overhyped "omg t3h awardz!!!1" The multiplayer is so repetative you've seen all there is to do in about an hour - and sorry if I managed to complete it on co-op pretty fast, that's not my fault.kieran88

Dude... I completely agree with you. Gears is good but after you look past the graphics, it's all style and no substance. Way too overhyped in my opinion. I barely even play it anymore, besides the occasional multiplayer with friends (Which isn't even that great to begin with. Give me UT style anyday.). But Oblivion, I have had since the day it launched and I have yet to be bored with it.

i never played oblivion but i really like gears of war so i'll vote for it. i don't think i would like oblivion but maybe i'll try it someday. my vote goes for gears of war.

p.s. you can't say that someone has a bad taste in games when they likegears ofwarover oblivion. yes gears of war is a short game but if you've only played it on co-op then you haven't played it to its full potential.

I'm glad that I could make you laugh out loud...three times. Anyways, just about everyone gave it their "Game of the Year" award. They elected not to give it to Oblivion because it is boring and the load times suck. You can say that the awards means nothing, but I disagree. I think it speaks volumes on the quality of Gears.
