I really need something to keep me entertaind untill Fable 2 comes out and I was wondering from people who have played oblivion, is it a really good game, how is to combat, I played elderscrolls 3 and didnt like the combat very much in it, has it gotten better, worse what, is it worth getting for me since I didnt like the last ones combat?
Combat has been improved. In Morrowind, it was like rolling a dice when attacking. Sometimes your swing with the sword would damage, sometimes it wouldnt. But with Oblivion, its more similar to a hack n slash. In general, the game is easier and more "casual" you could say, but unfortunately it does sacrifice depth. Still, i highly recommend it.
Oblivion is fantastic overall, no question there. The feel of the combat has also been vastly improved from Morrowind to Oblivion. It feels much more realistic than in the previous games. I can easily recommend it to anyone who remotely liked Morrowind.
Its a great game. Ive never played 3 but I personaly liked the combat. Just buy it from Gamestop and return it if you dont like it. Thats your best bet.
So far it's not too bad. Combat is pretty simple, I mean a lot of the times it's just as easy as pulling the right trigger. The one problem I have with it is how huge the world is. Sometimes it feels overwhelming.
Oblivion is a great game but i found that its glitches, mass killing of towns and just random stuff you can come up with made the game alot funner for me.
It's kind of irritating tbh. The design is really nice everything from buildings to chapels, but the combat gets really boring. Mainly because of the level scaling.
I recommend not levelling up (don't sleep in a bed, wait if you're low on health) because the game gets a lot harder.
meh, i still like morrowind GOTY more, combat doesnt really bother me. it def. has more depth be it armor, weapons, items, story and total game play than oblivion come to think of it the only thing morrowind doesnt beat oblivion in is its graphics and physics. but oblivion is a great game, if your bored of your other games i def. recommend this
There is really nothing bad about Oblivion. Combat is hack and slash and game controls are solid. It is a long game providing over 100 hours of game play. Some parts are difficult but if you have played morrow wind there should be no problem for you. This game will keep you busy until Fable 3.
