Oblivion - Thieves Guild help - Leyawiin

I'm stuck in Oblivion in a quest in Leyawiin for the Thieves Guild.

I can't get in the Living Quarters because a guard is protected it when I get in so I can't talk to that woman about the countess and the ring. The guard chases me and then the woman starts punching me

Can anyone please tell me how to do this? I will be so happy if I do this quest.

go to the castle basement and find a hollow barrel with a lever inside it, activate it and a door should open up keep following it and eventually you will be at the door step of my arch enemy , countess Caro, steal the ring and run out back through the way you came.
