so i'm going through these mage guilds in each city and there are several people in each guild hall that offers training in alchemy, destruction, etc...are training with these people necessary? or can i just go on with the game ignoring them?

You can ignore them because you can level up by yourself but I used them to get some of my skills up.

later on advanced and master trainers are really helpful. Once your skill levels get higher it takes a long time to level up in those areas, so I really take advantage of them for a few quick level boosts.

Yeah u can go and ignore them but I find them useful. The only areas I train in are Destruction, Mysticism and Alteration. It's a good way of focusing on your other abilities like Athletics and Marksmanship.

What a let down, I opened this thread expecting a custom made pair of oblivion trainers and instead I get some berk going on about mage guilds. How disappointing.
