theres really so much to do that there isn't anything specific. and the over all story is to save the world. just rent it first and give a try you'll either love it or hate it.

amazing game def worth the money you can play for over 100 hours and still not have dont everything. Its very deep but they kind of held back because i believe the old ones were even more deep but the toned it down to keep from confusing people.

Oblivion is one of the most amazing games on the market. I've played it for such a long time, and I still love it.

I was never a fan of RPG's. That all changed when I got my hands on Oblivion and Mass Effect. You should give Oblivion (Game of the Year Edition) a shot. If you want to learn more, do some reading on wikipedia.org. That website has been very helpful for me - especially when creating a character.

It's a pretty good game. I still haven't completed the "actual" mission or

the add-on. Get the Game of the Year Edition.

Basically it's an RPG. Let's you customize your characters (e.g. armor, weapons, abilities).

It allows you to joing several groups or "guilds" that will make it easier to level up.

And the mission for those guilds are pretty easy, so getting the necessary Gamerscores shouldn't

be that hard. The first few minutes will lag but once you reach the great outdoors, you're free to do what you want.

Sorry that last sentence was cryptic, didn't wanna spoil anything for you. It's also open-ended so you won't get

the whole "live happily ever after until a sequel comes out" feeling.

Or you could try the Wiki that's all about the Elder Scrolls series.

I originally had Oblivion for my PC, but it didn't play that well, and my comp got a little screwed up since them. I bought the GOTY edition for my 360 on Monday, and right now I have just under 30 hours on it. It's good, buy it.

You can change the difficulity without any penalties if you want... for me just remember to block and dodge. And don't try to charge in against 3 orges... yeah, that didn't work so well for me either.

Yep Yep, I really like the game too. I wasn't sure at first since it was literally "never-ending" but I've grown to like it.

The game is a life suck. If you have time to give up a good amount of time to gaming by yourself Oblivion is your answer. The game is incredibly huge and it will pull you in. You can virtually do what you please in the game which is great if your into that open world mechanics.

to me oblivion makes no sense at all - the game doesnt give you any hints. all you get is this big giant map to walk around in, try to find people that will help you, but none of it works. the controls are confusing as well as working on quests, because the few days with the game, it pointed me where to go in a quest and i never got to where i had to go. (and another quest)

I guess it is just not for you then because I have never seen an open world game that is better at giving you directions and info on where you should go. Whatever mission you are on, there is an arrow on the map and the compass showing you exactly where to go for the next step of the mission. You also have a "Diary" that lists what you have done and what you need to do next for every mission you have.... I can't see how they could make it easier.

If you've never played an RPG go ahead, if you expect nothing and don't care about deep RPG gameplay get it.

All others don't bother.

Sorry but if you don't like it your a big fat ass.(talks bull****) It is the most addicting and arguably one of the best games ever made for 360 or whatever console you get it for plz get it. I think I thought the same thing with morrowind and it turned out amazing and oblivion 1million times better.

I enjoyed Oblivion but had to take a lot of breaks from it for extended periods of time before I beat it. Don't go in expecting an engrossing storyline, or a great characters. You will be amazed by its excellent visuals(considering the scope), huge world, tons of quest, customizable characters, variety of weapons, armor, and items. What it comes down to is, "how much time do you have on your hands?"
