ODST Multiplayer = Halo 3 Multiplayer?

is the odst multilplayer the same exact thing as the normal halo 3 mulitplayer?

what I mean is, can someone w/o odst play online against people playing with their new mulitplayers disc that came with odst?

with the exception of firefight ofcourse

Yep, it's the exact same thing. Only thing is that only people with the ODST disc can play on longshore, heretic, and citadel. These three maps are exclusive to ODST.
