Ninja Gaiden Black, F.E.A.R. and Dead or Alive 4 all rock.
But I can tell you now, it depends on what you want more: An action game, a FPS or a fighter. I personally voted DoA4 since recently my cousin and I played 70 matches non-stop, and when my friends come over, we'll end up playing for like 2-3 hours without noticing what happened. It's a great game.
But Ninja Gaiden was the second best action game I've ever played (first is Resident Evil 4), and is just one of the greatest games ever released in the past 10 years.
I also voted F.E.A.R on the PC as PC game of the year in 2005, though by the time it came to consoles, I wasn't too excited. If I can find F.E.A.R. for like $30 then I'll pick it up since it's such a great game.
The choice is yours, I really can't pick a favorite. Though I did end up voting for DoA4... kinda funny. :P
