Official 802.11n Wireless Adapter Coming Soon

Since the finalization of the n WiFi standard, Microsoft has already sent their new adapter (which supports the highest speed available) to the FCC for testing.

Does anyone even need/want one? Hopefully it'll drive down the price of the currently available b/g/a adapter.

I expect it will cost a fortune. Why pay £60 for a wireless adaptor when you can get a 30m ethernet wire for £4?

Not everybody can run a wired connection.

I just hope this lowers the price of the regular wireless adaptor. My setup worksjust finefor online gaming, but my overall connectionis downright SLOW, which makes it impossible for me to stream videos.

With Forza 3 coming out soon, I'd also like to be able have a decent speed so I can upload races in HD to my computer for video editing.

I wonder how much they'll charge for that one. Even if it's $75, it's too much! A cheap accessory like this should be $25 max. But then again, look at what the PS3 tries to get for its own HDMI cables, when you can get one just as good off the net for like $5.masterpinky2000

If only they had released this 3 months ago. I finally got a wireless router and it has wireless n, but the current adaptor only goes up to g. Not that I really mind that much because my PS3 and Wii both only support g also so at least my 360 isn't lagging behind my other systems as far as online. If there is some way to trade in the old one for the new one for a cheap price (which I doubt because this is Microsoft) then I'll jump on it for sure but most likely I'll just stick to my current wireless adaptor.

Is it compatible with a draft 2.0 wireless n router or do I have to buy a finalized standard router?

I have wireless N at home, but my house is really long, so I had to run a wired access point to get a wireless signal to my 360, and guess what? The access point is wireless G.jstarzyk
