Official Gamespot FIFA 10 Pro Club Championship Team | Recruiting Anyone

When browsing the Gamespot forums looking for some players for my FIFA club, I received a personal message from a Gamespot moderator, asking me if I'd be interested in setting up an official Pro Club Championship team for him. I agreed, and here I am, looking for players to join the team.

What is Gamespot?

As I am sure a lot of you know, GameSpot is a video gaming website, that provides news, reviews, previews, downloads, and other information. The site was launched in May 1996 by Pete Deemer, Vince Broady and Jon Epstein. It was purchased by ZDNet, a brand which was later purchased by CNET Networks. CBS Interactive, which purchased CNET Networks in 2008, is the current owner of GameSpot. GameSpot.com is currently one of the 200 most visited websites according to Alexa.

In addition to the information produced by GameSpot staff, the site also allows users to write their own reviews, blogs, and post on the site's forums. The forums are partially shared with those on GameFAQs, another website owned by CNET, which includes cheats and guides.

Aims of the Gamespot PCC Team

To create a worldwide community, where anyone can join in, no matter what their ability is or their location. We are hoping to gather players from all over the world, and have a very large squad, so no matter where you're from there will be people to play with.

How we play!

When we get enough members, we hope to be able to play regular matches with a full team of 10 players, every time.

We also want this community to be a fun one. By that, I mean, don't be abusing other players.

We intend playing nice football, which is based around quick passing, and players off the ball making good runs, and utilizing the through ball. If you've ever watched a team like Barcelona or Arsenal, you will understand what I mean. Fast, beautiful football.

When we don't have the ball, we should be patient, waiting for our oppurtunity to take it, and create a counter attack.

We will simply not tolerate consistent ball hoggers, or DIYers.

I have no problem with someone taking a risk, in an attempt to get themselves a goal. Thats natural. But if its being consistently done, and its not getting anywhere, it is frustrating EVERYONE else.

Pass the ball, make a run worthy of recieving it. Thats the way this team will work. If someone is in a better onside position then you, you should pass. But every now and again, a risk is warranted.

We will also not tolerate people who just run around in circles doing stepovers, resulting in them losing the ball. That is one of the most annoying things you can do in the PCC.

Other than that, we wantEVERYONEto have fun.
