Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Live is so...........

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got XBL and man do i love it! After buying the Wireless Networking Adapter and having it not be compatible with our router, I was so bummed out. But then, we got a 50 foot ethernet cable, and a Netgear router, and I love it!!! Our netgear router even detects the 360 on our network map!!!! (Like it shows it's connected to our network) THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!1

NOW, don't even get me STARTED on CoD4. BEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED. I LOVE the multiplayer. Domination=Mini CTF. I love it. I was kind of worried that one build/class would be better over others, but it's really balanced in my opinion. I love the M16 and M4, but man, it's so fun!!!! Plus, it's funny to hear the conversations on live. Like just yesterday, I heard this guy, who seemed to be in college/an adult, and he said to like an 8 year old "STFU AND PLAY THE GAME!!!!!" I couldn't stop laughing. This is like the best invention in the world. Microsoft rocks. I mean, yeah my 360 hasn't gotten the RRoD yet, and even if it does, I wouldn't care, cause it still is the greatest system in the world. Live>Playstation Network.

I mean seriously, LIVE rocks. I went into the Marketplace, and you can download all this stuff, like movies, TV shows, demos, and more!!!! This is so cool. Plus all for $50 for 13 months? I mean, that's a GREAT DEAL. I love live. Seriously, downloading movies onto your 360 from your TV? HOW COOL IS THAT?????????

Well, I first discovered online multiplayer about 3-4 years ago with GUild Wars. (OK GAME.) I then bought other PC games such as WoW, BF2, and then CoD2. I had played CoD2's MP ever since CoD2 was released. I LOVED IT. I played it everyday, 365 days a year. I played a lot with DFL, Delta Force Legends. I wasn't in their clan, but was on their vent daily.

Then, I found out CoD4 couldn't run on my PC. I was hoping for an Xbox 360 for X-Mas, but my parents said straight up, it's too expensive with your brother in college. I said ok, that's fine, and I asked for The Bourne Ultimatum on DVD, and some new clothes. But then, I got the 360 for Christmas. I WAS TOTALLY CAUGHT OFF GUARD. My brother got a new iPod video cause his mini was filled up.

So then, I saved up, and got a 360 Wireless Network Adapter cause we have a wirelss network. But then, 2-3 days ago, we found out it wasn't compatible with our router. So I was super mad/sad. Then, we got a netgear router and ethernet, and BAM! It works.

Love it.

So basically, I had discovered online multiplayer with CoD2 which was a blast, but then I was so bummed since I heard my PC couldn't run CoD4 and I wasn't going to get a 360. But Live changed it all. :)

Let me add a Little to that.. I do know how you feel, man I almost bought a PS3 before I bought my 360. A good friend of mine talked me out of it and I haven't looked back. I still bought the other 2 systems and a better computer and I found out that my new computer has media center on it. I got Media Center connected to XBL and now when friends come over I can share my movies from PC to XBOX. Dude all my kids photo's, Movies of vacations, hell even downloaded movies of your choosing. This system is the King of Kings. I don't know how old you are, but the 360 reminds me of the good ol'days when everyone would come over and play SNES for hours. The 360 and XBL gives you that back! I'm a father of 3 and my friends, cousins, and most importantly my brother don't get to hang like we used to let alone game like we did when we were kids. The 360 lets us do that again. Dude the 360 Rocks all in favor say "I"

DUde! THAT IS HOW I FEEL TOO!!!!! I'm only 16, but my parents got my now 19 year old brother and I a SNES back in the day too!!!! I've got 3 cousins on Live right now, an uncle, and friends on live too!!! It really does connect you to other people. When I first saw Live, I was like, "yeah, that's cool, you get to play games with people from around the world." BUT NO, it's NOT JUST THAT! It connects you to the living, breathing world, of online connectivity. NOT JUST GAMING. It really is a revolution. (a 360 degree spin)

For those of you bashing the TC, lay off man. There is nothing wrong with someone giving a shout out to the awesomeness of XBL.

I just discovered XBL a couple months ago myself, and I LOVE IT. Downloading the movies is cheaper than driving (gas money) to Blockbuster and paying the rental price.

I am jealous. I am big into video games, always have been but my friends don't see it as priority meaning they can't justify the money for it but then can drop hundreds at a bar for one night of drinking. But then when they come over they love to play and say how great the 360 is. I am 28 and married but no kids so I like to come home from work and play before and after dinner. But not having my closest friends to play with kinda sux. You guys that have all your friends online don't know how good you got it. I have to bounce around party to party with people who already know each other or who are aholes on live. Kinda sux but life goes on.

Not for me, maybe it is a user error. Check your home network settings if you experiance a lot of lag on live.

Yeah, I experience no lag at all on CoD4 or live. After playing about 100+ games on live in two days, I've only come across 2 laggy servers.

Seriously, I mean, even though Microsoft has tech problems with their 360's, they're still successful. Since you hear all of these topics like "OMG, my xbox broke, and I have toget a new one," you know Microsoft is successful, because people keep on coming back to play Live even though they may be on their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. 360.

TC don't listen to people about lag and "tech problems". XBL is a great service and ever since it went down for ONE week in December, all of the High School kids thought their whole Winter break was ruined. Those kids are currently holding a grudge against MS for this. Well I got news for all of you who talk about how laggy or problematic XBL is, try PSN. I have a PS3 and would much rather pay to play on PSN just so could get decent non-laggy game of UT3 or Warhawk. Don't get me wrong though, PSN is good service but compared to an excellent service like XBL it just doesn't hold water.FearNinja

How about Microsoft adds for $100 a month, digital cable? How cool would that be. All that you'd need in your house to be totally "teched up," would be a digital camera, hdtv, 360, and a computer. You wouldn't need a phone cause you got chat on live.

I've had live since the summer of 2003 and have loved every second of it. The 360 really added a lot to it's capabilities though, i remember when I got my 360 all i did for the first few hours was surf around on live, checking out all the new stuff.

And for any of you that have consistent lag on Xbox Live, check your NAT, it should be set to open, if it's not fix it. I have been in many laggy games but it's usually a bad server, most of the time it runs fine.

My NAT is moderate, how do I change it to open? No clue. I'm getting off here for the day so if anyone knows how to do this with a Verizon ActionTec Fios router, please send me a message. Thanks! :)
