Grand Theft Auto 4 or Saints Row 2?

Ive asked a bunch of people and its about half.

I need to know before i go out and buy a new gta4 or not (my current one got the perfect circle scratch of doom :\)

so. please. help me decide. im in a pickle. and thank you :]]

From what I've seen, most people here have never played Saints Row 2 and yet they give you an answer on which one is better. I've played and beaten both and in my opinion, Saints Row 2 wins by a longshot. Don't get me wrong, GTA IV isn't a bad game, its insanely polished, and is the only game that has managed to create a city that actually feels alive, it has an engaging story and is overall a great game. But after the Story, there is barely anything to do. In Saints Row 2 there are tons of activities, tons of ways to customize your character and your "crib". The game isnt as polished, but its just got a ton of things to do. It'll last you a long time and its a definate must-have. I played GTA IV for like 15 minutes last night i honestly found it boring after like 10 minutes.I flew out the windscreen a few times,hit and runs(which were quite hirlirious) and did some rampaging with weapons but it was nothing like the older GTAs it got too realistic and driving the cars sucked.I've heard from alot of people that after they completed it that it got boring.One of my mates said Saint Rows 2 was heaps better because it simply lasts longer and isn't as realistic apparently coop missioning online is great as well.

Don't take any of that too seriously i haven't played SR2 and i didn't the GTA storyline so i really don't knowi just think GTAIV was incredibly overrated.
