Now I realize that this must seem like a joke topic and a stupid question, but thats not my intention. I recently bought an Xbox360 Elite and have had it for a little over 2 weeks. I have gotten a strange though that the Xbox360 elite, which is in my room can damage my health or damge other systems in my room. I should be notified that I haven't even powered it up. It just sits in the box. The reason I got the though in the first place, was because an strange inteference came from my Pc, while the Xbox360 was in the room. I no properly this is complete nonsense, but I need to ask anyway. Can my Xbox360 elite in any way damage my health, Have there been cases like this. I mean perhaps some kind of radiation from the Xbox360 elite. I would really appreciate an answer, even though it out there. Can my Xbox360 in any way damage my health or my other consoles or other things?

Sorry for bad grammar, but english is not my first language!

Uhhh I doubt it. No more than any other electrical appliance anyway. I dont think its the xbox causing the interference... It's probably just coincidence.

Maybe you are just thinking too much? The reason here is that there has been no cases of such strange phenomenon.

Maybe if you still feel weird then just call microsoft for another elite and report the situation. Or you can just void the warranty and open up the xbox to check what's inside. lol

They are extremely bad for your health if one falls on you from a great height, or you try to eat one, or if someone fires one out of a cannon, aimed at you. It is for this reason that they should be banned, melted down and made into massive plastic bubbles we can all live in.

Ziggy, it's common knowledge that a tin Foil hat shaped like a hershey's kiss, will reflect any of those radiation and gamma ray beams that coming from your Xbox 360...;)

serious guys, please don't make this into a joke topic as I feared it would be. It is really a concern of mine, if my Xbox360 Elite can damage my health or any or my systems or anything else? Is it completely impossible? I just wanna know that?

That is nonsense. If it damages your health I should be in the hospital by now, or any of the other guys in here. I think the surgeon general would have put a warning on it by now if it did. Just like abox of cigarettes.

You should be in the hospital now anyways because of your emoness by listening to BFMV

Make sure you don't have a cell phone next to your tv or computer speakers that will cause interference. You could of had that happen as accident.

Actually, I recently watched a Canadian documentary about Electric pollution. It's pretty eye opening. Apparently certain appliances and electrical ranges can effect your health in a negative way. Not saying that it's just your Xbox 360. But just look at the ratio of people who develop cancer who live near major electrical grid hubs and facilities. It makes sense to a degree, more research should be put into this field IMO.

Don't let it bother you too much. If you feel it could be damaging to your heath then do some research on that matter of electrical appliances, not just 360's. I've been gaming for years and I'm doing good!

almost everything nowdays is said to cause cancer. TVs, Monitors, Microwaves, and specially Cellphones emit radiation. There's eletromagnetic waves everywhere, TV transmition, Phone transmition, Radio transmition... Most food is now also said to give cancer, toxic products they use to keep bugs and pests away from the plants, and chemistry added to industrial food is also said to be hazardous. Sun rays give skin cancer. Now... are you really worried about your xbox? You'll be fine, just have common sense. Don't play with the electric parts in your 360 to avoid getting shocked. Don't lick the internal parts of it, some electronic devices have products that aren't healthy for you. And avoid playing for really long periods of time, in order to give your eyes and hands some rest. (this final advice is for everything, TV, PC... you name it)

ZiggyStardust16
Depends of what's inside the box :D! If it's a piece of PLUTONIUM, then hell yes! Unless the box is made of lead! ^__^ Ziggy, relax. Stop being paranoic! go play your videogame and relax about radiation, all electronics emit it, there's nowhere to hide. Tips for getting healthy while playing videogames are those everyone will tell you "Take a break often to give your eyes and hands a rest." Some people sugest 15 min break for every 60 min of play time. RELAX ok? The xbox is no different from the computer you're using. Except for the fact it's much cooler :p

To answer your question. Anything done in moderation is okay but anything done in excess is not good for you.

In plain English "No, an XBOX can't hurt you but if you sit on your butt too much day after day after day then ..."

only health problem that i can think of is get u fat. u will be sitting there playing games and not getting any exercise. another one is loose of teeth because of long gaming times and forgetting u brush ur teeth ;)

if ur nervous about radiation i think the computer would give u more because it is bigger and things.

Here's your serious answer: Unless you are prone to have seizures then you have nothing to worry about. Except maybe your physical health from sitting in front of a TV all day instead of getting out. Most people say you should take a 15 minute break every couple of hours of playing just to rest your eyes. However, I rarely do that and aside from being a hermit it hasn't harmed me at all. I've never had a problem with it damaging other equipment, nor have I heard of it doing so. If you use unliscenced hardware on your 360 on the other hand, you can run a chance of damaging your 360. Maybe you're so excited about having a 360 you're getting mixed thoughts in your head? That's happened to me before. Long story short: Don't worry, be happy you have a 360, and play the hell out of it :)

Man, how can you expect anyone to take this question seriously? If I were you I would think seriously about what is making me so paranoid in the first place! It obviously doesn`t create any danger or someone somewhere would have filed a lawsuit by now. GET A GRIP MAN.

I'd sooner believe that ghosts were haunting your house and MS trying to kill the world's population by slow radiation poisoning.
