OMG Gears 2 Rank Reset!

I got on today and my online rank for Gears went from 54 to a 1. Why? I didn't cheat? I don't have a modded xbox/ controller. What did I do wrong?

same thing happened to me, made me stop playing gears :? i was more mad about losing insane mode than anything else, now i have to play through the game again to unlock it :evil:

you should try to report this to Xbox Live customer support to find out what is going on and see if they can retrieve your stats back

The same thing happened to me when they released their latest dlc and you could play online with a silver account for a couple of days. I was only lvl 18 and I rarely play online so it didn't bother me too much.

Happend to me too. Except I lost all my SP stuff too so now i can't play insane unless i want to go through the game again.

I heard that Gears2 had some online glitches, but this is the first I've heard of a rank reset.

That's nuts. I'd deff call a hotline or something to try to get your stats back if it means that much.

Haha I thought they fixed this? Go figure Epic doesn't do anything right and yet they have blind followers who still pretend their games are the greatest.

I had heard that it had something to do with signing into your profile while the game was loading. Epic claimed that they fixed this but thats what might have happen to you.

Has anyone been in a match with hackers yet? I was just in an Execution match with some, game was super slow, I started with 100 frags and over 1000 shells for my Shotgun.. every time you killed someone you got an insane amount of points (can't remember the exact number) You earn so much points that you go into negatives and lose your rank. The hackers gave themselves more health and could down you in 1 shot from the shotgun. My friend said everyone went down to rank 1 (he was 68, so he was pretty damn pissed) The hackers kept their ranks. So I'm going to stick to the first till this is sorted.
