well, it all started around my b-day (september) my parents got an xbox360 for me and my little brother... when it came in (my dad bought it off the internet) i was like "yeah awesome!!" then it gets the rrod about 2 and a half months later, my dad had already bought the extended warenty (i forget if it was 3 or 4 years). so we send it in it gets sent back same problem... rrod so this appens 4 times... not 3, 4. they were supposed to bring us a new system on the third time but for some stupid reason they sent us the same (crummy) broken old one. and all this time we had to pay for postage (which added up to about $125) so when we call the service center they tell us that not only is our coverage not going to cover the new xbox-360 but they are not even going to send us a new one at all!! they are just going to send us another re-ferbished one which will probably break down just like the other one... and they're not going to re-fund us our postage money or our $50-60 we spent on the extended warenty.

I feel like the worst person in the world today.

Did you send it to microsoft or the company you bought it from? Because microsoft should comp everything including the shipping charges.

You should have your father post on here with the actual details, cause your story doesn't really check out. Microsoft covers the shipment expenses and you cannot buy an "extended waranty" from them as it is already 3 year warranty for the RROD issue. So unless you clear up some of the details I don't think anyone here can help you.

I think you misread my post as I clearly stated " Microsoft covers the shipment expenses and you cannot buy an "extended waranty" from them as it is already 3 year warranty for the RROD issue." Since specs777 issue is with the RROD I didn't even bother mentioning the 1 year standard parts warranty.

no...they DO NOT....how many times do you need to be told? Go look at the GIANT "MY 360 IS BROKEN THREAD".....ALL 360's, unless they are voided (thus you use an intercooler or crack the case or something) are under a 1 and 3 year warranty......if your 360 comps out, and you get a new one back....that new one, OR REFURBISHED ONE, that you recieve from microsoft has a 1 year full warranty and a 3 year RRoD Warranty. end of story.
