OMG!!! I have just deleted all my gamesaves!! I mean......everything, all of it

Oh my word I have just deleted all my gamesaves!!

I just got a new xbox 360 arcade with the new jasper chip and HDMI connection bringing the old 20g HD from the old premium to my new arcade xbox , I transferred all my licenses accross to my console and then deleted the profiles from friends that had played my xbox

there were alot of them and so I got into a routine of deleting profiles with their items, unfortunately by the time I got to my profile I was too much into the routine and proceeded to delete all my gamesaves

now I was 65 hours into my Fallout 3 game and was taking my time, I was about half way through , no I got to do it all over again

not to mention my fable 2 and Mass effects game saves, this is the biggest nightmare ever!!

can someone offer some crumbs of comfort?

the thing it if it was called 'delete profile with gamesaves' instead of 'delete profile instead of items' I would have known exactly what it meant

I thought that items were just marketplace config saves, or download history

i done a similar thing but not game saves, but something else unreversable i got a premium with loads of stuff on the hd 2nd hand. all demos and game saves a dozen profiles. wanted rid of it all deleting after delete of all the crap. then next thing i know i deleted HEXIC HD full game ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH didnt even get to play it lmao. cant even down load it again. i think i can phone ms to get a code but cant be bothered with it all got another xbox from a friend 2nd hand (swapped it from some records he wannted i was selling thinking ill sell the xbox to get the coin i gave him them for) was again. deleting all the cack on it. only did it a 2nd time WTF!!!! i made sure i told my self not to do it before as well thinking i wont do it this time,. but u get in the habit of all them deletes dont you once you done 5/6 ya on a roll in automatic modedjrobst

exactl, I think its a bit stupid that its so easy to delete all your hard earned work

im 5 hours in and done about 10 hours worth of my first go

To gillri: That's gotta suck dude. I've sometimes had my save files corrupted and have had to start all over. It's not fun.

And to you saying it was a stupid mistake: What could you possibly mean by stupid? Stupidity isn't even involved in this. He just didn't pay enough attention because he was bored deleting the other profiles.

I did the same thing when i ran out warranty. Got a arcade pack. How did you transfer your saves, profiles...? What i did was just slapped my 20 gig on arcade 360.insane_metalist

well yes I was gonna do that but then I wouldnt be able to play my aracde games unless I was online

so I transferred the download licenses accross, just as i was about to put my 20g HD in the new arcade model I thought I would clean it up a bit, I saw my friends profile's

and thought I would delete them, then I got to mine and the rest is history, I should have been more careful I know but it should say 'gamesaves' not 'items', I thought these

would be preferences i.e vibration on/off, online status etc

The fallout 3 one is the biggie I mean everyone over the course of 20 years would have gamesaves hiccup, I once had to replay Resi 4 for 10 hours after a file got corrupted, the odd hours here and there on Oblivion, Tomb raider etc

but not 60 plus hours on Fallout 3, 221 diamonds on Far cry 2 ( I wasnt going to play that extremely furstrating game again anyway), A 30 hours campaign on Fable 2 with the unselfish ending and an awesome character I created on Mass effect ready to get the level 60 and Insane achievement

In my life of gaming that is the single worst thing that has happened to me

You should buy a memory card it's such a useful device. Also Dexter is an awesome show.
