OMG I need help!!!

k so heres the story i had my xbox sittin there and i was playin gears of war then my roomamte accidentally tripped and hit it and it fell on the wrong side andwe all know what hppens when that happens and it scratched the disc really badly. it would load the disc to the intro of showing the microsoft logo then told me it needed clean and for me to reset the xbox. ive spent 20 dollarstryin to clean this disc but now the 360 is sayin that the game isnt a game and needs to be put in a 360 console whats up with that??? any way to get this workin again would be helpful thx

it's likely that 'buffing out the scratch' caused more damage to the disc.

Really sorry man, i don't think there's much more you can do besides save up some more cash for another copy of GoW
