Well awhile ago my 360 broke, "No problem" I figured, "Mistakes happen". I was told the box would arrive in 5 work days max. Ten work days later it hasn't arrived so I called and sure enough they haven't even sent the box yet. 5 work days after my 2nd callI get the box (15 work days). I package it up and send it out. Within 10 work days it is back (25 work days plus 8 weekend days). I'm okay with 31 days, after all I do have a comp and PS2 I can play while waiting.

After the 360 arrives I pop in The Darkness a rental. It freezes constantly, I can't even get past most loading screens. I figure it could be the disk and try all my other games, most of them freeze more often. Call MS suport, now its gonna be prolly another month.

Dude that's really bad, I'd be really frustrated if I were you, but I have my Bestbuy Warranty, and if my 360 doesn't break before it's up I'm going to exchange it for a new one anyways, and get another warranty so I won't have any waiting :)

Good thing I have a store warrenty. I just bring it in and get a new one, easy as can be! But ya, 360's have a bad problem with not working. Lets just hope MS gets it right with the next console.

rrrgh! man i feel sorry for you. i'm waiting for the coffin right now too. WHY THE **** do my 360's ALWAYS have to break during the SUMMER! it's the only time i get to play and whaddya know, it breaks sure thing every summer. :) whew good to get the off my back.

That sucks man. I haven't had any problems...yet. Hope it doesn't take too long. If it's messed up this time just slap em.

I had the EXACT same problem a couple months ago. The replacement 360 that MS sent me kept freezing up. I finally gave up MS and used my Best Buy warranty to get a new premium system.

Thats a bummer. Have been very fortuante so far with my 360 and havent had any problems yet *knock on wood*. Lets hope it never breaks, and if it does I wont have to go through the hoops you and lots of other people do.

I just got mine back too, and the darkness locked up on me twice the other day. On top of that Im pretty sure they sent me a totally new system or at least a refurbed one that wasn't originally mine. I didn't have the same experiance with the repair though, box came fast, and I had the system back the next week. The system was gone for like a total of 8 work days, pretty good considering 6 of those days are the 3 day ground there and back.

I've went through like 4 repairs and I get a decent and sometimes pretty quick response. AS I told plenty of people you have to call and sound very angry..it works for me all the time. My last two repairs they sent me the box within a couple ofhours which arived 3days later exact from the time I called...no lie. I also sqeeze free months of Xbox Live out of the customer service reps too. You gotta know how to work Microsofts lazy customer reps. or they'll treat you like just another person on a list!

What you just said is EXACLTY what happened to me and it took 2 months to fix my Xbox because of those exact same reasons. They didnt ship the box and they shipped me a faulty one.

listen dude i know what you are going through, im on my 4th 360. and if you add up all the times i was without one, it would be about a month and a half. so i know, but mine was on constantly, some of it for gaming, some for movies, and the rest was for the use of that 32-bit audio processor, (I am a musician and have my own studio in my bed room) and 32-bit sound is off the chain. just to put some gun fire or some type of screams or you know whatever into my music. but i dont have any other platforms to play games on during any of this time, for my pc was built for music. but hey it took about 2 weeks every time for mine, i only had to ship it to texas, and im in LA, but like i said, all toll, about a month and a half. but it is still my favorite videogame platform ive ever had or tried, and ive been gamming since pong,. but in all honesty they are breaking down less and less, atleast for me, with each new system they have lasted me longer. but im not into all that moving to play a game, and I wont own a sony system. and pc gamming is way too expensive, so i just chose to make music during that time, but my 4th runs just fine and smoother than any of mine in the past,

ps, ive had a 360 since launch, so 4 in a year and 8 month time period. but my condolences.

This is actually happening currently for one my friends. He sent his xbox in about 5 weeks ago and they have yet to send it back.

I feel your pain. I send mine in 5 weeks ago. I was told it would take 2 weeks. If I really had bad luck it would take a maximum of three weeks. Five weeks later and they still haven't fixed it yet... :|

If your 360 was and is "on constantly", it's no surprise you're on your 4th, especially if your room is a studio and you have other electronics in there releasing hot air.

The free one. But I don't see how that would make a difference?

Although, where I live you get 2 years, since it's law here to have at least a 2 year warranty on electronic equipment.

well i'm just wondering cuz i have the 2 year extended warranty. could be a difference cuz people that have thte 2 year warranty just gave them more money.
