Yes. You can't play online with a silver membership, though, you can only download things.

dont know if it does, but if it does then you wont be able to use it cause u need some sort of memory to be able to have a xbox live profile.

You still need a HDD or memory card to connect to XBL Silver...it says so right on the Core System box. Sorry man :(

i just bought a HDD.

also not related to the quote above, can i download stuff for like crackdown and oblivion, Patches And Game add ons like Crackdowns Keys to the City, and oblivion's Shivering Isles
