One thing that really puts me off when playing certain games..

Kids. And im not talking about kids that whine, scream and cry over the mic im just talking about little kids in general. Ok, games like Fifa, Madden and what have you all these 3+ and 12+ games, i play with mic turned off so i cant hear anyone because i know im gonna be playing with little kids and it is sort of embaressing for an older guy to be playing seriously with some little kids, i find anyway.

So with games like Gears, Orange Box, Vegas, which all really mature games with the exception of a few being 16+ well its these games where i dont turn off the mic because these are more mature games but i find that you still get little kids playing them and again, it kinda ruins my playtime because i dunno, sure with my own kid i can be all jolly with him and play with him, but when your trying to play seriously and you got 12 years old talking to you and who REALLY, REALLLLY do sound like i dunno, playing with one boy today who sounded like 8-9 maybe 10, i cant do it because you know, im to old and it makes me feel like a werido lol.

I dunno about you guys, but how do you older guys find trying to play seriously on a mature game but having little kids down the mic who are also trying to do the same? Do you just ignore the fact that their kids and just play? Or does it make you feel how i feel a little bit embrassend?

So im trying not to sound like i hate kids because i dont, i have one lol i just dont like playing seriously with them because its like, well you wouldnt see a 20 year old outside on the front playing hide and seek with 10 year olds would you? Its that sort of concept that im talking about.

So yea, be cool to hear how you guys deal.

If someone on my team is trying to help the rest of us for whatever reason, such as point out enemies, offer strategies and whatever else, then I don't take age into consideration. My only problem with younger kids is the nasty attitude that they bring to online gaming, not that it excludes older players from doing the same thing.

I'll play as I normally do. Playing with kids does not change how I play, and I don't get embarrassed by playing with them either. Maybe it's because I have a little brother 10 years younger than me, so it's always been normal, but I don't take age into account for playing games with other people.

play call of duty 4. there are a lot more mature people on that game. its also a lot of fun

sooo many times on games kids get on and say "YO CHECK OUT MY GUN!" or " what's the button to reload" i just lose all hope....but really, there has to be something else lil kids can do these days! and like MoreBeer said, i play online mostly at night, otherwise i just play single player games or join friend-only online matches. CoD 4 is the best at keeping your friends in your party which is really nice :)

What he said except there are kids who are playing games like vegas for example, that dont seem to be serious(even though its a video game) I WANT TO WIN! and some oflittle kids just want to laugh every time they get a head shot. But i pretty much just ignore them

Ya dude i hear ya. Im 24, and there is nothing more annoying then hearing pre-pubescent kids saying "hey go here", "hey do this" "hey, hey hey hey hey". Its like i swear to god every person born after 1995 has ADD and hyperactive disorder. Its just another classic example on the failure of the ESRB. I mean, you can rate a game all you want, but unless you protect them like cigarettes and alcohol, kids will get them easily. Well, not like its that hard for kids to get cigs and liquor, but it is moreof a challenge. Im only saying that cuz im older, but if i was a little kid i would definitely be annoying the heck out of older people! hahhaandrewhateme

sweet i was born 1993 so I am exempt.

I'm only 15 but my voice is deep enough and I'm mature enough that i am not the one causing the problem.

That said, sometimes the littler kids are mature and serious gamers. It's the super cocky people who are in their twenties, probably playing drunk with their buddies that bother me the most. If you see one of those [1] or [2] to signify a guest, that's generally when I mute the mic because I don't wanna hear them talk.

If I get too annoyed I usually just join a clan of older individuals and ignore the kids.

Hey, I just thought of something. Why don't they have an age filter? You can filter by player type (pro, recreational, family, or underground) but you can't filter by age. I might actually play my multiplayer games if I could filter out the kids. No offense to the kids, except the ones that deserve it. As it is, it's just annoying unless you find that rare group of mature gamers. SpeedBomb

if you boil it down kids are gonna sound mature and immature and you would judge everyone as such and if thats way you wanna judge it put up a a-hole filter , I have gotten people who get all offended when I say "hi" on a game cause my voice is pitched high and say "I'm changing team guys, I don't like annouying kids" or something along the lines of that. Thankfully he was on the top 3 list of my kills (I count)
