Online Battlefield 2-Modern Combat

Hi all.I'm soon to be coming back to XBox-just pre-ordered the new 360 with 4GB flash onboard.

I used to love playing Battlefield 2-Modern Combat online.Is it still possible to play it online,or have the servers been shut down now?-only i will re buy it if you can still play online.

I've always got me Halo games-looking forward to getting back online on Halo 3 and trying out ODST

I would be surprised if anyone is still on BF:MC. Try downloading BF1943 off market place or get BF:BC2. Both are quality and still have good populations.

But seriously, that only goes for the console versions. On PC there's still thousands and thousands of people who play it regularly.

Modern combat was one of my favourite games to play on xbox live, wish I still had it.

Yes I know that Consoles doesn't have the longevity/nostagila factor due to hardware reasons but i'm just saying COD4 is not a good example to prove that point. That's more of the exception than the rule.
