If you're gonna get both I would say get The Orange Box first since you'll have a lot of things to play and will have enough time to save up for COD4, I mean 5 games and one is online will net you a lot of playing time, then when you're done with it all get COD4 and it seems you;ll play that for a long while too.
Orange Box is the best shooter on the 360. It has a bigger bang for your buck than COD4. Get the orange box. Love it. And worship it. I know I have.
The orange box has 30+ hours of gameplay available, excluding mutliplayer, while COD4 has something around six hours of gameplay, excluding multiplayer.
quality single player goes to Orange Box. If you want some intense multiplayer, COD4. Don't even get hyped for TF2 on Orange Box. Heard that it's laggy on the 360, but the actual game isn't that fun imo. either way, you get more than what you pay for.
ORANGE BOX!!! Cod4 is good but youll be finished with it in no time, online is ok but the kids have migrated from halo3 to there. its insane, but still fun. Orangebox has alot more to offer offline and it still is fun online itself. If your eventually getting both is no question orange box.
oh BTW if you live in Canada, Futureshop has Cod4 on for 39.99 (20 bucks cheaper) that might persuade you on what to get at the moment.
orange box is a really great deal. half life 2 is a great game and episode 2 has a great cliff hanger. portal was amazing and team fortress is entertaining. i haven't played cod4 but i heard great things about it but i think the orange box is a safe bet
