Orange Box vs Bioshock- what is the all around better game??

I have already detroyed Bio Shock.

Me and a buddy just traded bio for orange, and I am curious what is the better game...

same question here.. so tossed up as to which to get.. i know i'll enjoy both.

i think i'm leaning more to orange box, just cause it has much more in it.

I have both. Bioshock is quite a scary game due to its atmosphere, thats why I like it so much. Portal is one of the best times ive ever had during gaming. TBH I havent really played any of the Half-lifes in the OB.

I still think The OB is better because there is most likely something you would like in it.

Ahhh.... the questions of all questions. Having played both, I will try and give you a unbiased opinion.

Bioshock = One of the most unique atmospheres in a FBS in a long, long time. Add to that an very interesting story, and beautiful graphics and nearly flawless game play, you get one SOLID game that is well worht the $$ unless you are looking for replayablilty and online play.

OB = A re-release of a 3yr old GREAT game. The source engine that the game runs on is starting to show its age, but that does not really take away form the AWESOME story. Then, add to it Portal ..... if you don't have fun with that game then you should throw out all your systems. And if you looking for multiplayer, then check out TF.... all of that packed into one box makes this a no brainer.

Over all I would say go with....... BioBox!

Few years ago, HL2 was. But played it back then on the PC, so wasnt anything special this time around. (the Episodes were ok, but short. Portal was ok one time through. TF2 was a disappointment after playing TFC for many years)

So my vote goes to Bioshock.

If you've never played Half-life 2, the Orange Box is hands down the better buy. Even if you have played it, however, you get the 2 Episodes after it, an amazing puzzle game, and a very fun and unique online FPS. In reality, The Orange Box is one of the greatest values gamers have ever gotten before.

All that said, Bioshock combines one of the best stories seen in video gaming with amazing gameplay. It all comes down to what you want. If all of the games in the Orange Box are appealing to you, get that. However, if you're a little bit shaky about buying a 3+ year old game, a short puzzle game, and an online-only FPS (team fortress), go with Bioshock. Remember though, either way, both games are amazing. Support both: Bioshock for being a unique game, something we never see anymore, and Orange Box for actually giving us our money's worth, something we also don't see anymore in the DLC age.

Bioshock.They are both good but I think Bioshock is a unique experience that you must play.

but yes its is a small world, but good idea to save money andplay both sweet games.......maybe you are the person i switched with butwe bothdo not know...that would bewild and cragey

Bioshock, its such a great game

The Orange Box is one of the best games on the Xbox360 currently. Half-Life 2 is one of the best shooter games in videgame history.

I have played hl2 and *loved* it... althoughI have been asking what people have liked/disliked about bioshock for some time now so my conclusion is this

single player:bioshock

online play:ob (half-life does have some awesome single-player action though.)

very good joke pkmaster...good show, i do saygood show ol' chap

but after 1 night of playing bio i would have to say it seems like the single player is really intense...not that half lifes single player is bad in the least, i actually might like it more. But the setting of bioshock issoo unique tho, the underwater with a bunch of freaks works out really well haha.

overall im still sayin Orange box is the better game for playability and variety, but i think ifepisode 2 half life 2on orange box single player and bio shock had a war, bioshock would win that war

If the O box only had portal it would still be worth it. Or even just Team Fortress 2, which is so much more fun than Halo 3 multiplayer. Isn't that why we play games for fun. Then you get into Half-life. The gravity gun is something everyone needs to experience. It's just a legendary collection.RawhideSphinx
