I'm looking to get a online shooter soon that will last me for a really long time. I don't want to waste money, so i'm going to get only one game. I was thinking of these games, Rainbow Six: Vegas, BF2: Modern Combat, Lost Planet, or wait for GRAW 2. i'm kind of leaning towards either Vegas or Modern Combat (since it's cheap), but i'm not really sure which one i should get. which game game is worth the most money and would last me the longest? Also, I already have Gears of War and Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.
I liked Lost Planet.  Tried the Rainbow Six demo from Live but it seemed kinda stale and boring to me. The Mech game mechanics in Lost Planet are a lot of fun both off and online.
Well, I think you got the message by now. Rainbow six is really awesome online. You have to get used to it of course, but it's worth it. I do advise to make some friends because it's often hard to find a good game. Unfortunately the brilliance of a matchmaking system still hasn't come through into the minds at ubisoft.

i thought the demo sucked to an didnt get R6V right away. but my friend got it and it was amazing. so i bought it. and it is. dont judge games just by the demo. u should read the reviews to its a really sick game
Sorry, not saying its a bad game but I seem to like shooters with more fantasy/sci fi theme to them like Halo, Gears of War, Lost Planet, Resistance.  I can't seem to get into the military themed ones like all the Tom Clancy games. Its probably the subject matter because the Tom Clancy games consistantly get great reviews, but when I either buy or play the demo I'm like ... meh. If thats your thing though, it did get excellent reviews.... I'm still not interested ;) heheh
