OverLord seems really fun and their is gonna be a larger community cuz of Vista players like in ShadowRun! i say OverLord besides the Darkness is not all its cracked up to be (although it looks stunning graphix-wise)!
Well the Darkness seems like more of the same to me. A dark FPS which apparently has a ten hour campaign and a tacked on multiplayer component. I would go with Overlord due to the fact of it not being yet another shooter on the 360.
i just got hte darkness, the campaign is GREAT, multiplayer... im sticking with shadowrun, but i am buying overlord tomorrow so i guess my vote would be both
personally I don't like horror, gore games(or at least the game need a gore filter like gears of war) so overlord is a no-brainer for me. But strictly speaking I believe overlord is a 15 hour game while the darkness is 10 hours. Personally i need a change of pace from all the shooters i have been playing.

I can't wait for it. It's one of those fun games you can chill out and enjoy, unlike most shooters.
exactly! its a weird game the perfect game for when your bored. I got shadowrun yesterday, and im getting overlord tomorrow.
Im also renting the darkness and if i like it i might get it. But if i were you i would get overlord unless you dont have any great shooters on your collection.
i personally didnt like the overlord demo that much. i got the darkness and its really good. except the multiplayer is really laggy. if they can address the lag issue i can see myself playing the multiplayer fairly often.

In all honesty, both seem like pretty shallow games that will grow old quickly. If I were to choose, I'd go with Overlord though since it's one trick pony can at least be utilized in different ways (strategy) whereas The Darkness seems like it's a constant rinse and repeat within different environments.
I played both and got the dl on both at my friends house, both are amazing, however I speak the truth when saying Overlord is more of a buy as The Darkness is more of a rent
i never played Pikmen or Fable before but OverLord looked to me like a cross between Kameo and Legends of Zelda just with really good graphix (maybe some Lord of the Rings). but all in all it looks like a must have so go OverLord.
id go with overlord all the way the darkness is not my type of game and it would be a change of pace from all the first person shooters. id like to have a nice story mode.
