I remember the previews and commercials for this game before it game out then nothing. I checked out a couple reviews recently just after someone here mentioned the game. I think it's something I'd enjoy but would like to hear what everyone else thinks of it. Feel free to chime in.
It's very charming with its Fable-esque aesthetic and sense of humor, and I've found it to be pretty fun in small doses but have had a hard time sitting down and finishing it. It just feels a bit vague at times and there's nothing that really makes me feel driven to do the next thing; at the same time there's no real sense of freedom, so it's not sandboxy at all. I think this is a rare case where the Gamespot review is spot on, no pun intended.
Overlord is actually one of my favorite games. Its just a fun game to sit down and play, If breed pikmin and Lord of the Rings, you pretty much have this game.
I lked it. It's nothing groundbreaking, an there are plenty of better games, but it's fun - and it has a unique sense of humour. The controls are sometimes a bit clunky (as is the camera!) but it has a bit of charm. If it looks like something you'd enjoy you should definitely get it.
i got addicted to it and got mad when ever you beat it because its just like right before you beet it you have to face the last boss again but like i say i got addicted to it its so fun
