OXM interview with Bungie hints poor graphics for Halo3

Ok I love Halo and I know that thier is no fan bsae bigger for any other video game than Halo. I did reserve it and you can bet I'll be on line at 12am. Having said that,amI the only one that thinks the gfx in the beta were poor?

I use poor and not bad because poor to me means that they can improve. While I do understand that its a beta, OXM had a mini interview with Bungie to discuss their thoughts on the beta.

OXM:Are the gfx in the beta a final representation of the final product?

Bungie: Yes they are but keep in mind tweaks and refinement will be made, but don't strain looking for any differences.

F-u Bungie, I want Halo to go out with a bang not a thud. Give me 30 frames per second and razzle dazzle. F- 60 frames per second. Anybody with me? Oh yeah and Bacardi Mojito is very good and that is not my sig.

2: haven't you seen the new screens on IGN yet? they are improved.

R u serious? Those are the FINAL gfx? That sucks, I thought they would have improved them alot more. They weren't bad but when the game is going up against games like GoW, Mass Effect and Assasins Creed, I thought they would have made the graphics very good.

the graphics from the online multi player have been improved (look at the 100 new screens on IGN).

We haven't seen the single player yet.

I knew Halo 3 was going to be trash from the beginning. I don't know what people see in this game.

Yes, but if there was not constructive criticism then slavery would still exist today. :P

In any regard. Its not a garbage game. I was being over zealous.

However I am glad your not like the rest of the community who lies and says Halo 3 is amazing. The multiplayer is good, but the graphics are last-gen.

yeah technology from 1994 you can save full games and take screenchots, then send the vid and the screenshot to ur friend, gears doesnt even have that. Its kind of sad seeing so many graphics whores. For example gears gameplay is alright and the graphics are amazing, halo gameplay is amazing and the graphics are alright.

check out the bungie site for some updated screens...they look pretty nice and seems to have improved upon the beta. also, read the new ign article about halo3. they already confirmed that the single player graphics are going to be better than the multiplayer w/ many more effects, etc. anyway, just chill out about the game until it actually comes out. don't worry about people criticizing the game b/c their claims can't be substantiated as the only thing any of us really know about the game is a portion of multiplayer. we still don't know anything whatsoever about single player...

i think it's also important to point out that toning down the graphics for multiplayer is better for the pacing...not everyone has a suitably fast internet connection... i'd rather take a hit in graphics to make sure my online gaming experience is as smooth as possible

the only graphics we've seen so far is muiltplayer. chances are that the single player is going to be crazy.

I only got a 360 last january having never previously owned an xbox. I was quick to purchase Halo and Halo 2 and play through them both and tbh I didn't find them to be as good as expected.

Whether it's because Halo's past its time and Halo 2's just boring (SP not MP) or the fact that the first game to enter my 360 was GeOW I'm not sure.

I seriously hope Bungie have revamped the SP gameplay wise or else i feel Halo 3 will leave a bad taste in my mouth.:(

A great blockbuster game like Halo will always recieve critisism, no matter how good it turns out. tread´s like this one will appear from time to time, don`t worry about it, u can`t expect every human being to have good taste.

So, while a small minority keep talking trash about Halo, lay back, read all the 9+ reviews, check all it`s sales records, and have a blast playing the best multiplayer game out there... see u online in a cupple of months.
