OXM Mass Effect Review - Perfect 10 -is the best game they've ever played-

They hand out 10s too easy, Halo 3 didn't deserve a 10, Fight Night: Round 3, while awesome, didn't deserve a 10, Call of Duty 4 didn't deserve a 10, and Bioshock didn't deserve a 10. If it truly is the best game they've ever played they should've rated it an 11 (which is actually one of their scores non OXM readers).

Theres no doubt Mass Effect will be perfect, but I only trust Gamespot's reviews. OXM gives almost every above average game a perfect ten.

Awesome cant wait to play it, I have that halo 3 feeling all over again. Hope its good cause im passing up CoD4 and Assassins Creed for it.

OXM gave Fight Night Round 3 a 10, but that game didn't really deserve it. Hopefully Mass Effect does.Ryo_Kensen

They gave that game a ten cuz it was the perfect boxing game, not the perfect game.

Since I can't find a copy of OXM, here is the wikipedia entry for their scoring system:

"A score of 10.0 is not considered perfect, but is called "Classic" and is considered to be of high quality."

"XM does list a score of 11.0 (termed "Mecha Godzilla's Choice") and is considered perfect, however it has been said 11.0 is "the unicorn" and "will never happen"."

So 10 is not their perfect score.

In my eyes, any media source that rates all hyped games a 10 are not legit reviews, nor do I bother with them.

I agree, still, Mass Effect should be an amazing game and I love Bioware.

The gameplay combat trailers on the second site in the orginal post look unreal. I can't wait to check this game out. Not to many RPG combined withFPS out there.

Do you know, is this going to be a linear game (with different senerios depending on your choices)or Oblivion-like open?

Gamespots reviews are garbage. Only Game Informer matters. That is why their review was out weeks ago.z3dd1cu5
