Paying TWICE for DLC?

ok, me n my brother share the same console, n we both have Xbox live Gold accounts.

Jes recently, we bought Mass Effect 2, and that comes with a Cerberus Code thing. The thing is, we split the price on this, but using the code seems like it will only activate on one account. So the question is; If I activate it with my account, can he still download the free DLC considering its the same console?

And, we were also going to buy some MS points to get the mission packs, but the same question applies. If I buy the DLC for my account can he get it too? Especially considering its the same console?

I'm pretty sure that anyone on the console can use the DLC. It shouldn't be a problem. If you get the mission packs, I'm almost positive you can both play. Ghost_702

When you download DLC, I believe you can use it on all accounts since the DLC is stored on the hard drive.

As long as your signed in on the same console he could play whatever content you have on his profile.

no, this doesn't work. i d/l'd all the ME1 DLC on my account, and when my sister tried to see if the DLC was there (on my console, on her profile) it wasn't there, i had to pay for it. so no, you still have to pay twice for DLC. M$ is greedy like that

This. Just the other day my friend let me use his account to DL the ME2 Blood Armor. I was then able to use the armor on my own profile. It should be the same for the other DLCs

I believe it depends on the DLC. Some are tied to the console and some are tied to your account. With mass effect im guessing its tied to your account and im sure EA wanted it that way. They are waging war on used games and game sharing right now.
