Which one should I get? I heard that PC monitors look sharper and have just a slight (in Picture quality) edge over a widescreen HDTV? So I wanted to ask you guys?

Thanks.

Its really down to budget and scenario. How much are you willing to spend and where you going to put it?

The way I see it is if your thinking about getting an HDTV just for gaming and not watching HD television programming then go with a nice 20-22" widescreen LCD computer monitor. Then you can use it for you computer and console.

But it depends on the setup, budget and function. Think about it... ;)

All depends on how much money you have to spend. 1k and under, go with a Monitor. 1k and up, save more for a good hdtv.

There is no such thing as a "decent" hdtv under 1000 unless you wanna stay under 26 inches and its not worth it. You should go with a 22 inch lcd monitor from dell. You can use it for pc and gaming. The native resolution is better than most hdtvs out there, 1080p and its under 400.

You can get a 40 inch Westinghouse for around $1000. Does 1080 too. Very nice price and the reviews have been good. It's a monitor. monitors are better quality and much cheaper, but you do need to research things like types of connections you'll need on the monitor and whatever you want to run into it. Not sure, but you can probably use an HDTV reciever with it also. I suggest researching via tech forums here and wherever.
