It pisses me off..Like whats the point? What is there to prove when you cheat your gamerscore? It ruins the whole point of the word achieve..Unless theres some achievement called Glitch that gives like 2000

If I knew how to do it, I would. You're right though, they are achievements.

I personally don't care about people that hack their gamerscore but people that hack in the games that is another issue.

Hacking in the game is much worse and gamerscore can't ruin the game for you unlike hacking in the game. I really have no clue why people care about people hacking or glitching their gamerscore.. If they get high enough Microsoft will find out.

*Cough cough* Why do you care? Maybe if Gamerscore could be used as Microsoft points, or if it put you in a drawing for prices then maybe I'd understand why you'd be annoyed by it, but Gamerscore isn't anything but a number next to a name.

I'm not too concerned about the people who hack GamerScore. Like craigalan said, I'm more concerned about people who hack into multiplayer games and ruin all of the fun.

It's Xbox LIVE... It's a time waster... It's not a global event that inspires young athletes every year. It isn't a televised event that brings in a huge tourist attraction...

I never realized that gamerscore came into consideration in gaming competitions. Second, gamerscore has no connections with currency.

and i didnt know you could put a value on "inspiring" people or that everything on TV is more important then things that arent

and i agree that GS has no connection with currency

its funny u say that, cause now its on record that u have NO idea what ur talking about

where did i connect currency to gamerscore?

i said "what does popularity have to do with worth"

the USA currency is based on the peoples faith in it ("popularity" if you will)

and now our economy is dropping like a rock

implying that ur implyed logic of "because its popular its more valuable" is flawed or atleast not a good logic

no where did i connect gamerscore to currency

People that glitch, cheat and hack don't really matter because they just get reset and it's easy to tell who cheats.

You miss quote me. I compared Gamerscore to gold metals. While a gold metal can be sold, gamerscore has no value. Second, the Olympics is a huge tourist attraction that brings in billions of dollars in sponsors and advertising. And third, this post has nothing to do with our current economic times, and even if it did, money will never go out of style, it's a form of trade that is almost flawless.

i don't care to much about gamerscore. there is no point in hacking/cheating a way to get higher gamerscore. it does nothing. when i beat a game i beat it with a game that could have around 400 GS.

You're a clear waste of my time. Not only are you full of yourself but you can't seem to back up your own argument. Everything I've said has related to a point you made back at me, all you seem to do is criticize the way I think.

Sigh, here I go again. I am taking everything you say literally, yes, but I'm responding in metaphors. Second, you're stating that the U.S. Dollar is losing it's value, which lead me to believe that you thought the concept of money was going out of style, since you so intelligently state that the U.S. Dollar's only true worth is in faith. Lastly, you've brought up our current economic crisis three times now, which means you seem to have an interest in it, and a want to relate this topic to it.

Sorry mate, but gamerscore still upholds no value in this world, just bragging rights. Hence, you're argument changed nothing.

If you don't understand, why does it upset you. I'd like to learn how personally.

Unfortunately, I can't do it because M$ would reset my Gamerscore.

It would be cool to know though.

Ok the whole point of gamerscore is bragging rights as it is basically valueless. But wtf...since when is bragging between friends NOT a big thing ? I say anyone that cheats should get an automatic beatdown. No appeals, no arguments. A simple straight up beatdown.

A bunch of friends and I were all competing between work/family/life etc to get a high gamerscore and we were all basically doing badly, I had the highest at around 22k. The next nearest was 9k. Then suddenly within 48 hours a guy who only ever plays GoW2 jumped from 6k to 14k. Now ok yeah I know it is maybe possible but considering he went from 30g on assassins creed (part 1) to having all achievements plus going from 20g to all acheivements on borderlands...in 48 hours... not including dj hero, battlefield 2, and lost planet 1&2 ... c'mon... that's just plain ol cheating.

Now sure on pc games in the past I was well up for cheating to get past a level in r-type or manic miner. Xbox gamerscore should be sacrosanct imo and uncheatableistic.

I may be naive and wet behind the ears but it was nice to think that somewhere out there was a place which was cheat free, where everyone earned each point of "g" to add to their own individual gamertag. Now I am left bewildered, bedazzled and metaphorically buttf**ked.

Do microsoft have a *hit* department ? Or should I be the bigger man and let this aside ...pass ?

I feel action is necessary. Then again the buddhist way would be to ignore it and let karma have it's own revenge. Then again I'm not a buddhist. I'm a tooth for a tooth type person. So revenge. Any ideas ? Preferentially ones that save me doing 25-life.

Looking forward to red dead redemption.

Gamertag : Squarerbrute.

lol you're welcome.

Just came across it on a search earlier.

As old as it is, I think the earlier replies all still hold water.

Cheats are gimpoids. End of.
