i did get a message on my xbox tellin me that they'd be updating it today so that's why i'm having problems i guess but when will the update thing be over?

check your message again buddy.....XBL was down for maintenence early this morning. Earlier today it was set back up and running but apparently MS screwed the pooch on this one and it messed around with EVERYONES NAT settings. Maybe you should get yourself updated before you start a pointless thread.
