Persuade me to get a 360

I've held out for a while, but I can't stand it anymore. All of my friends have a 360 I've personally like PS3 better and dare I say it.... PC. Anyway, all they play is MW2 OF COURSE. I don't really like the game that much, but any game is fun to play with friends. BTW I just want the arcade model, but is that bad, and should I get a pro or even elite.

If you don't want an Xbox 360 don't get it. Why would you spend over $200 on a console and game you don't even want? Sounds like a big waste of money. Although yes the arcade will be perfectly fine and it will cost you money to play online.

If you want to play with your friends get one, or persuade them to get PS3's. If you do get one, get the best system you can afford. I would stay away from used, for obvious reasons.

I'd just go ahead and get one.

I useta just play pc games, and they're absolutely great but when you just need a quick gaming fix like an hour or 2 somewhere during the week, consoles are fun and they're getting cheaper all the time.

Used 360 games are generally pretty cheap too and you can always rent them here and there to just try them out rather than just buyin it new for $60.

You can always use it for netflix or watching dvd's if you end up disliking it for whatever reason.

You obviously want one so you dont need persuasion.

it has had more sales than a ps3, meaning more ppl have it, the games r tha same from the ps3, except for some (MGS4,Resistance), its popular, the graphics are just as good as the PS3 (the PS3 is slightly better), and live almost always have ppl playing, ultimately its up to u

^This, pretty much.. However, we can't do much if you don't really want one. The only person who can prusuade you to get one is yourself, kiddo.

dude get one. i would prefer the ps3 as well but all my friends game on the xbox, its so much better playing with friends. plus halo reach NEXT WEEK OMG.

- Better online (but costs money).

- Superior multiplats.

- You get dlc early.

- Wayyyy better/more arcade games.

- Better shooters and RPG games (Halo and fable for e.g. The ps3 only has killzone and resistance as shooters LOL). The ps3 hasn't got a good shooter yet.

- Most ps3 games are platformers and japanese games.

- Halo: Reach.

- You get pc games like left 4 dead, so you can play split screen with your friends.

- 360 has an overall better game library.

- The community is awesome.

- Halo 3's multiplayer is the BEST out there untill Reach comes. The ps3 just doesn't have addicting games like that.

If you like games like little big planet and rachet and clank you should have a ps3, if you are into hardcore games you should have a 360. The only thing the ps3 does better then the 360 is in value and game variety. Technically the 360 is also more powerful, have a look at some gears of war 3 footage if you don't believe me. The ps3 is also loosing all of it's exclusives to the 360 (MGS, final fantasy for eg).

Halo Reach, Gears of War 3. if you don't fancy these games, maybe you should hold back from buying one. If you like superior multiplats that are not on Pc, that's another reason to go for a 360.

In my opinion you I have owned a 360 since launch day and I tried to switch to a PS3 twice. I got fed up with the RROD issues but I still ended up selling my PS3. I am just used to grabbing the 360 controller to play my favorite games and I own many arcade games along with fight sticks that keep me occupied.

If the only game your friends play is MW2 they will most likely switch to Halo:Reach soon and other shooters. The PS3 and 360 are both great consoles and it may just be a matter of preference but I must add I hate paying for Xbox live and keep in mind gaming gets expensive.

It is your money but if you have nothing else to spend it on or no need to save the cash go ahead and buy a 360. However, the PS3 is a really good console and they do not charge you to play online. If you are in High School or something get a 360 because playing with your friends is not a bad idea. I am like 27 years old and most of my friends play offline or rarely play.

If there is a need for a 360 your ps3 is still a great Blu-ray player and the 4GB console should be fine.

Both are great consoles and they have their pros and cons.

Persuade what will I get out of it. Don't buy a console if you don't really want it.

Sounds like maybe you should just go hang out a friends house and play MW2. I'd never buy a console for one game, especially if I didn't think I wanted it in the first place.

That being said Reach, Fable 3, Alan Wake, Gears 3, and all the games not available on the other HD console make the Xbox worth the price of admission.

Grab a cheap used one if you really don't want to spend much money. Just make sure you buy a 360 that was made in late 2009 or 2010, and you should be fine.

stick with your PC and PS3. if you join the xbox nation you will be sucked into being Microsofts beeeeyotch like the rest of us, :P
