If you want a long offline go for Oblivion. Phantasy Star is an MMO game, so no offline for that I think... And I found ENchanted Arms to be pretty poor for a JRPG. You'd be better off either buying Oblivion, or waiting a month or two and buying Blue Dragon.

EDIT: And good choice with Overlord. I found it really fun (but not a huge amount of replay value...)

Hmmmm... Well what about Dead Rising. Plenty of replay value on that one. Viva Pinata is also surprisingly good, but it's definitely worth saving some money for the games coming in later this year. Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata are supposed to have long single player campaigns. Mass Effect and Too Human should also be pretty long.

I'd only heard average things about enchanted arms so I always shied away from it. Lately though I was getting desperate for any RPG I could get my hands on so I took the plunge and got it cheap off ebay.

Its actually pretty good, much better than I was expecting, sure its a final fantasy rip off but most JRPGs are the same anyway.

Theres tons of characters to use and level up and the grid system in battle is a new one for me so give it a chance and you might be surprised

Nah, it's not too bad is it. My only 1000 point game. But doesn't Makoto just make you want to... not hear anymore?

Enchanted Arms is a good game for what is available in the RPG department on the 360. I don't regret buying/playing it. I put about 60 hours into it.

There is an offline mode in Phantasy star online...its just not very good.

Enchanted arms has a decent storyline but the game itself is rather pants imo. Phantasy Star online is quite good online though and if you were among the Dreamcast loyal PSO'ers then you shoud no doubt enjoy it.

So yeh my advice is go with PSO, but I warn you it doesnt have a particularly engaging offline mode.

Oh and just to add if you really want a decent long lasting RPG then I'd wait for End of July/August with Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata being released.
