you need to buy an VGA HD/AV cable for the 360 in order to play it on a computer monitor.

It looks really good on my LCD monitor. You really think about buying these cables, even if it's a bit pricey.

Yes, you can do that. You need something called a VGA HD Cable. Its shaped like the ethernet cable that connects your Monitor and PC.

Be careful what monitor you buy though. If it hasn't got a decent resolution, you'll get jaggies!

yes, you either need the $50 VGA-HD 360 cables, or you can also find a monitor that has a component port and plug it in using the component cables but very few have this but some gaming monitors have this.

HAHAHAHA that made me laff, its nothing like an ethernet cable, do your display displayed on the internet or something, the VGA cable is like the component cable, just with a VGA female end, befor you try to correct me about the female bit, look up female to male connectors

Idiot. I know what I'm talking about seeing as I have one.

I know it's got a component end for the 360 but the other end is the same shape as the Ethernet, and has screws to screw into the back of the Monitor.

Why do you get this people such as yourself that get cocky when you're just trying to help someone?

Piss off, will you.

Chances are both your laptops won't have input video signal. Meaning you're screwed and need to buy a monitor. The way to check is to look at the back - and if you only have 1 VGA socket then you only have output.

If you get a good monitor, it can look as good as a 720p HDTV. I suggest you check out the HPw2207, is what i have:)

That was one of the things I looked for when I bought my monitor for my new gaming PC. I bought a gateway FPD2275W '22 Widescreeen monitor and my 360 games look amazing on it.

VGA cable, I got mine at future shop.  It even says it is meant for xbox 360 on the package.

It works great, I play on a 22'' lcd widescreen monitor, it's HD.  You can get HD on an old crt monitor, so if you want HD you should try it.  I have a 40'' hd tv but I played on a 17'' crt monitor before I got the 40'', I actually prefer a pc monitor, and that's why I got the 22''.
