hello i had the same problem.

my first tip would be : - try asking in a media specialist shop such as panasonic, currys etc, (i dont know the equivalents in spain) explain the situation and see if they can help.

I got audio on my pc monitor by getting some specialist cables: a 2 end lead into 1 end lead sound converter.

a 2 end - 2 end audio bridge/converter which you can then plug the 2 xbox sound jacks off your xbox pc monitor adapter and get sound into your xbox.

to clarify - the first component listed - the single end goes into the pc monitors audio slot, the 2 ends of that same cable go into the 2 end bridge, and the xbox audio leads go into that to connect it all up.

hope this helps!

If the monitor doesn't have built-in speakers then yes you'll need speakers. The cable that comes out of your console splits. One end is the DVI, the other is red and white cables for the sound.

Hey, look! A new one! Flame him!

:P

Welcome to the boards, man. Spanish speaker here as well. As for your question, I believe the thing comes with a Y connector that lets you plug it into your sound card to get sound through your speakers, because the cable itself has standard RCA audio jacks. Might wanna try the Audio/Video Hardware board.

The VGA cable gives you the red/white audio outputs. If you are connecting to an audio receiver with these inputs, you are done. If you are looking to connect to PC speakers, you have to get some more stuff... The VGA adapter will come with a Y-adapter, which will convert the red/white to a male stereo mini jack. You will then need to get a female-to-female mini jack adapter. That will allow you to plug a set of PC speakers directly to the 360 VGA cable. Done.

Hi there!

Firstly your English is very good, better than some of the English speakers on here! Yes you can use a VGA cable on your PC monitor, you will require a free VGA connection on your screen (I'm sure you have).

You can get sound in two ways.

1. Buy a set of speakers with a stereo input, it doesn't need to be a phono connection (red & white leads) as the VGA cable comes with a Phono to stereo adapter.

2. Using the Stereo adapter you can connect the audio leads to the Line in on your PC and achieve sound this way.

Buy these 3 things:

1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121014 -- Speakers

2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16874103025 -- VGA Cables

3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882641091 -- Sound Adapter

There you are. Play in your PC Monitor with sound. You can change the speakers if you want better ones. I personally have the z-5500 system which is 5.1 and completely awesome. Buena suerte mi hermano. LoL, no estas solo en los forums :P

I buy all my cables from monoprice.com They have the VGA xbox cable for around $7 and they make high quality stuff.

I bought my HDMI cable for Xbox to plasma from them for a few dollars and it works great.

you would need to buy a monitor with built in speakers which wouldnt be very loud at all or you would need to buy speakers and connect them to the monitor and there is a cable that you would connect the vga audio cable. I used to play on a monitor for over 2 years.

Hi there, I've been playing Xbox 360 on my monitor for a while now. However, I noticed that sound only plays out of the left speaker and the bass speaker. I use VGA to connect to my monitor, the left over two phonos I plugged into an adapter that looks like this: http://www.lsaudiotech.co.uk/ekmps/shops/lihousounds/images/2_phono_to_mini_sj.jpg Red and white phono to minijack/3.5mm one or the other. I plug the minjack park into the microphone port into my speaker and set my speakers to play any sound coming from the microphone. Works perfectly except no right sound. My friend said this adapter would fix the problem. http://c1.neweggimages.com/NeweggImage/productimage/82-641-091-01.jpg My speakers look like this: http://www.pczenith.com/darco/logitech_s200_files/s200_logitech.jpg I plug the adapter thing into the right speaker's microphone port since there are not other ports on the speakers except the headphone one. Thanks Ronan

What everyone else said, plus it's better to use a monitor than a HDTV.
