Playing Xbox 360 in a vehicle?

Does anyone know anything that will power the Xbox 360 in a vehicle?

The tv is already in it...just so you know.

I have a dc to ac power adapter but it is not powerful enough to power the 360. Does anyone know one powerful enough that I can get at Walmart, Target, Circuit City, or Best Buy or some other store that is almost everywhere?

Lol, I've played the wii in the car and it still works, same thing with the gamecube. One thing I recommend is to not have the wiconnect24 on when you are riding because the wii gets very hot. I guess there isn't anything powerful enough by using the cigarette lighter. Guess I'll have to play the wii then...

If you are wondering how I play the wii in the car, all I had to do was tape the sensor to the bottom of the screen.

You people are not thinking right today... How would you game a drive? I don't think anyone is stupid to play videogames while they are driving and besides that, our tv screen is in the back seat so there is no way for the driver to play. What are you people thinking?MajorPain10

I'd start with the wattage rating 203w for launch systems and I think 175w for the revision. Double whichever it is and look for an inverter with that power rating or find a 500-600 watter just to be on the safe side as they typically list peak power and not RMS. Hard wire it to the battery positve run from the battery to the inverter make your ground close to the inverter.

Everyone is making a valid point on disk scratching due to bumps as its been known to happen. Park your 360 in front of an AC vent if possible.

Forgot to add bear in mind that an inverter will put out a square AC wave. The 360 might not like this dont know for sure. I do know some laptops dont like cheap inverters. Also make sure your wire gauge is suitable for the length of the run. 8 gague will probably do it but check a chart to be sure.

the newer 360s have 175 watt so i think u need a battery to power it up then using the battery infront.

what other people said it might get scratched from the bumps on the raod because if the 360 gets moved it usuly scratches the disc or it screws up the lens in the 360.

Youll need to hardwire either way though.

The Inverter is the important part. He might have to upgrade the battery but I doubt it unless hes driving a coke can. Then he might have to upgrade the battery and altrenator.
