Hey there.

I've been considering buying an Xbox 360 over the past week but I am still debating withmyself. I'd like to get it but I want to be convinced about it. I have some questions and I'd really apperciate if you guys answer them.

1. How big is the Xbox 360 in terms of width compared to the original Xbox? Is the Xbox 360 Elite any smaller than the regular Xbox 360? Can I get some picture comparsions / side to side pictures please?

2. Has Microsoft improved the product? Will my 360 break? Are they handling the red circle issues and overheating and such lately?

3. Name me some awesome FPS / racing / action/adventure / sports games on the 360 I should buy.

If you guys can answer these questions, I'd really apperciate it. And give me some tips and tell a new 360 learner some information I probably don't know about the Xbox 360. Please! Thanks.

Posts like this are pointless..... What else do you need to hear, search the game reviews. You are a level 17 with 1600 posts you should know enough to make your own decision.

1. the 360 is slightly thinner than the original xbox. about as heavy. but it looks nicer, nicer console design. the elite is exactly the same as regular 360s.

2. Not sure about the improvements, but if you buy a 360 DEFINATELY get a REPLACEMENT warranty at the store you get it (warranty where you can just bring in the broken console and they give you new one in store, i got one for my PS3 at best buy). I hear the wait for microsoft repair is about 4 weeks.... but last year when i got my red ring of death in january of 06, it took about 2 weeks.

3. FPSs: Halo 3, Bioshock, Ghost Recon games, Rainbow six vegas, FEAR, Gears of War

Action/Adventure: Tomb Raider Legend, ummm there arnt many...

Sports: any EA sports game from this year got good reviews, Madden, NHL, NBA take your pick.

Thanks alot. If I want to contact Microsoft from Canada if my 360 breaks, how will I contact them? Do I first call them and ship the 360 over to them and they send another one?

And let's say I have memory on my 360 that breaks, how can I keep the memory and put it on my new 360?

Just my last question and I'll leave you guys alone.

Let's say I have saved memory on Xbox 360 hard drive and my console breaks and I need to replace it with a new one. How can I keep the memory? Is there some way I can switch hard drive? Or should I just buy a memory card or two?

Let's say I get a warranty at BestBuy or Futureshop or whatever, will they repair it or give me a new one?

Has anybody here done this? Did they fix it or give you a new one?

I've never owned a Xbox 360 and I don't know much about it. I've played it a few times at friends houses but still. I see the games look good, graphics look good and whatever but I'm still a little cautious due to the reports of broken consoles. That's why I'm here asking you guys, who know a lot more then I do.

This Thread is lazy. You're the one buying a 360, only you can decide if you'll like it so stop wasting our time.

Your original post asked about the consoles features not the three red lights and if you don't know much about it go to google and type in xbox 360

HAHA... yes it did get a 9.5 but the guy that wrote the review said that the second game set the bar for 360 games... i think not. The original set the bar and the second ruined it.

it has a hard drive that snaps into the 360, take it off if you sent it in, also you call them and they will send you a box to ship it in, they have a 3 year warranty on the most common 3 red rings problem now
