Please dont buy clothes/themes.

As long as you keep paying for avatar clothes and wallpapers, they will never be free like they should be.

Why should it be free? They don't have anything that interests me enough to buy but i'd pay 50 cents for an Orisue or Hundreds shirts/jeans and pair of Blazers, Dunks or SkyTops.

Why should they be free exactly? They still offer free clothes for your avatar. Some licensed products they have to charge for. I do not have a problem with them charging a small feefor avatar clothes. I probably will not buy them but I will not fault anyone else who is interested in it.

i agree with the thread creator. what do you pay for xbl then for? you pay just to get online then you have to pay more for fake clothes?

i would understand if xbl was free, but its not, so there should more free stuff on xbl. why if im paying 50$$ a year should i pay another 2.00 for a friggin assassins creed wallpaper? its get to point of taking advantage of the customer.

Avatars and Mii's are just like sprinkles on ice cream. They do nothing to actually make it better.

They should cost because it takes time, money and effort to design everything, as long as people are willing to pay they will keep charging for things and so they should, ive said this before but it's not like MS are making anyone pay for this stuff.

yes and xbox live should be free, arcade games should be free, netflix should be free, map packs should be free, the new games on demand, those should be free too. controllers should be free, headsets should be free, I mean come on we paid for the console isn't that enough!:roll:

gaming is an expesive hobby kids idk why every other thread in the xbox forum is something about how evil MS is for charging for some service they offer.

Really? Personally I'm not interested in paying for anything avatar related. But if you think that MS will make them free just because no one is buying them you're... well... you're special. If anything MS would simply discontinue them rather than waste money creating the items that no one was getting in the first place.

MS is gonna make money of this no matter what no point trying to stop it and truthfully there's nothing wrong with its called business if you dont want it dont buy it. You really cant complain we have a ton of free stuff for the avatars already so dont say MS never gave you anything.

I heard that some clothes would be unlockable in the same way as achievements.

I agree completely - buying clothes for your Avatar with real money has to be one of the worst money grabs I've ever heard. The only thing worse is the EA Sports system, where they sell you cheats and exploits for their games (like better recruiting tools for NCAA Football -- what a joke!).

Giving them out for free makes no sense on a business standpoint. Think about, free - lots of people use this to customize themself. not free - maybe 1/10 people will buy something = money for Microsoft. It's not like people are going to quit using their 360 because they can't customize themselves/dashboard.mischa_barton

not true. passing out free stuff is also a business marketing option. a lot of companies give out free t-shirts, cups, mugs, posters, buttons with there company name on them.

Yes I am, they're the best metaphorical cakes in the world! :P Anyway, I do see your point, I just think that we get plenty for our 40 quid per year, and that we shouldn't gripe just because some things cost extra.

Now then, that'll be sixty bucks for the cakes please.

Who cares there are plenty of free clothes for your Avatars right now, and it's not as if there won't be anymore free ones, you just have to earn them by playing games and unlocking Achievements, the ones you have to pay for are basicly just the old gamer pics but on a T-Shirt, if people want to pay for that let them, and besideds the unlockable ones seem much better than the ones you pay for (CoG Armor FTW).
