I've been playing this game on co-op with my girlfriend. This game is one of the best RPGs I've played in recent memory (my memory extends to FF7 lol). Its great, I mean the story is fairly typical for a jrpg. But I thought it was pretty interesting that they took a real person (Chopin) and placed him in an entirey fictional story that somewhat represented the events that occured in his real life. The combat is fairly simple but deep. I completely agree with you, this game is certainly a gem and I hope anyone who has a remote interest in jrpgs give this a try.

Unfortunatly unless it's KOTOR 3 the 360 owners don't really care about RPG's.

But I have to wait till 08 because that's when it comes out on the PS3.:D

The game looks amazing... I saw it at the store today. However now that you can rent games at Blockbuster for a month and I probably wouldn't play through Eternal Sonata twice, I'll probably just rent it.

I love eternal sonata and I don't know anyone who doesn't like it. They are all 360 owners, and they all care about RPG's ironically.

I must ask I been playing co-op with my daughter do you have a problem of the game skipping your GF turn when she doesn't press anything? It happens sometimes it will be my daughter's turn (second controller) and she will starting running and not even a second later her turn is done but the timer is still somewhat full.

Well i know that some clothes/armor stuff that you wear can effect how long your battle turn is. I know i had two characters that wouldnt start there turn till there battle meter was half way down ):

That is until i changed the stuff they where wearing (:

Dont know if that helps, but thought id mention it

I don't care for Halo 3.

And I agree, Eternal Sonata is a beautiful and greatly fun game! The co-op play also adds to the enjoyment!

I also received the Pre-Order Bonus Gift with it: The 'Eternal Sonata Xbox 360 faceplate.' Really lovely!

I considered picking it up today when I got Halo 3, for varieties sake. I just can't get over EGM (in my opinion, the best reviews in the biz giving it an average of like 6.75. Demo was pretty fun, though.

I haven't finished the game yet but I feel like the storytelling in Eternal Sonata is one of its strongest points actually.

The game-play locks in at around 30-40 hours I believe; it is kinda linear. But that is just a very minor thing; there is so much to love about this game!

I'm REALLY enjoying this game. The art syle is fantastic, characters are great, fighting keeps you on your toes MOST of the time, the story is decent. My biggest complaint with ES is that at times the story gets overly elementary in its explanation. The game is pretty much on rails which could be a turn off for some gamers.

Also, the inventory management and skill, ability and magic depth is a bit light for hardcore RPGer's.

I'm about 14 or so hours in and I have been very happy with it. Not sure on the total time

I'm surprised a few people have said 360 owners don't care about RPG's... Oblivion did sell a ton. I think 360 owners are picky, they like and demand good games. I have alot more fun with Eternal Sonata though. I picked it up on a whim and played 25 hours over last weekend, I can't remember any game in a long time that captured my attention like that. The art and music are amazing, and the game and story are fun.

In fact I couldn't fully get into Halo last night and put Eternal back in... it keeps calling me back!

The gameplay is really good, and the story is alright.

Thevoice acting/scriptis theWORST ive seen since Resident evil 1. Every character is wciked annoying when they speak.

Play it, but mute your tv when someone talks, its terrible.

Just got the game so I figured I'd answer your question. The story is co-op, with up to 3 players. Same 360 though, no Live. Still kind of a cool feature, though.

I disagree. I've enjoyed the voice acting. If you think this is bad, try playing Shining Force Neo on the PS2. THAT'S bad voice acting. Even Blue Dragon's voice acting is on a lower level than ES, and I thought Blue Dragon's wasn't too bad.

Love the gameplay, I hate how long it takes for some of the cutscenes, and I think the history lessons of Chopin's life really isn't needed. Personaly I play games to kind of skip reality and not be forced to learn history

Battle system is fun, overall pretty fun game, just hope I haven't missed too much cuz usually I skip the cutscenes

Unless I am wrong, Namco made this. It is not a good as Tales, IMObased on the demo, but I will buy it when the price drops. Same with Paper Mario and Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii, they are all on my Excel sheet.

The demo is the best demo I've played. I am looking forward to this game but don't have time. Too many games are out AHH what do I do. Too much fun. - Halo 3, Assassins creed, still have got oblivion, I want to go back and play ff12.

From what I heard:

This game has excelent everything. The Greaphics are great. The music is one of the best. The gameplay is fast and addicting, but not top notch. (I think they could have made it a little more interesting) Value last a decent amount 30-40 hours is nice. Story is good. The only bad thing is the voice acting can use some improving and the whole game seems a little childish.

Also what is this thing about cooperative play?

Plus: In Blue Dragon, you are able to choose between the Original Japanese Audio and the English dub; thus, everyone should be happy. Anyway, I found the voice acting in both, Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon, to be pretty good!

Still, I am really happy though that 'Lost Odyssey' will Originally be made into English first. XD
